Now, there are a couple of faces I haven't seen for a while. Not to mention those Marionation references. (Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet, as if you don't know. Classics!)

Oh, and we get a bonus reference to Verne's 'The Time Machine'. (sighs) Ah, sweet, sweet nostalgia...

I haven't seen DM in years, but always enjoyed it. Heh... I still have a few sound files from the show, but haven't listened to them in a while.

Danger Mouse was a really great cartoon back in the 1980s. Lots of
very fast puns and silliness, along with a good dose of very British humor.

I'm afraid originally, I had intended to put Edith Picadilly (the English lady mouse From Dela The Hooda) in alongside DM, but I didn't get permission from Style Wager until after I'd already finished the strip.

I'm afraid originally, I had intended to put Edith Picadilly (the English lady mouse From Dela The Hooda) in alongside DM, but I didn't get permission from Style Wager until after I'd already finished the strip.

I read Della The Hooda and most definitely would have rolled had you been able to pull that off, great idea! Edith would make a great James Bond Girl type character too, hint hint

I use to make a special trip home from high school to watch DM.

I love that show, got a couple episodes on Beta somewhere, no player but couldn't bear to part with them.

I haven't seen Danger Mouse in years. Think it was back in 1984 or 1985 when I was stationed in New London, Connecticut. Well, at least I was in some kind of London to view those episodes.

Is that true?

I play all of mine on my computer, and can find software hacks to disable the region codes if necessary, but yes, region-free set-top players are available.

Many of the major American studios are now adding additional security features (RCE) to their DVDs, which supposedly prevent the discs from working in some region-free players.

Another issue to keep in mind is PAL vs. NTSC. You'll need either a TV that can handle both types of signal, or a DVD player that can convert the signal to your TV standard.

The Duracom DVD715CF is a good example of a multisystem player. It's region-free, can play RCE-protected titles, and is fully NTSC/PAL cross-compatible.
