I'm afraid things are a bit rushed

Post by Kellogg »

Hi all,

I'm afraid due to various emergencies, that things got kinda rushed
this week. I'm way behind schedule. :(

Emergencies

Post by Legene »

One thing sure to make an emergency worse is another emergency. Best wishes working through them, and absolutely no need to worry about rushedness. There are only 24 hours most days, and things have to have priorities.

Thanks folks, :)

I probably worry too much, but it's a small source of pride that I've only
once missed an update. (My hard drive died.) I've been late a few times
due to the server going wonky or errors in uploading, but only missed
once.

I always do my best to keep my promises. :)

Anyway, just got a preview of a guest strip that Matt Trepal is
working on, and it's a really GOOD one. Something I wish
I'd thought of! :D

Matt's one of the good guys. :D

Well, I wind up in the emergency room near death's door every time a strip I read misses an update, but do what you must.... :-?

Seriously, I would much rather see my favourite strip miss some updates than risk you burning out trying to keep up when things get overly hectic. Besides, I'm conditioned to deal with some delays; I read SJ! (Please don't hit me, Gneech! ;))

You're too kind, Scott! But we all (all us cartoonists, anyway) run across a gag in another strip and think "why didn't I think of that?" It happens to me more than I'd care to admit.

I keep notes, now, to steal other people's jokes.

And I will echo Hortmage's comments from another thread; Jenny's appearance in Friday's strip spurred the creation of the one I sent to Scott. But I'll leave it at that, for now....

I try, dude, I try. And I could hardly not say the same about yourself. Here's hoping everything straightens itself out soon and without much trouble!

That's where my problem is!

The boss had me convinced there was at least twice that.

Wait a minute -- I'm responsible (albeit, EXTREMELY indirectly) for something positive??? Be still my heart!

I suppose you can thank me by posting that picture (especially if it had anything to do with Jenny and a hula skirt....)

Not a hula skirt per se, but close enough for jazz. And just keep your eyes open, it should be showing up fairly soon....

:o Wowsers, Matt! You are the true magician here!

(I do believe in Christmas, I DO believe in Christmas...!)

Very cute, very romantic...and a great punch line. A little hard to dance to, though. I'll give it a 9.3 out of 10!

Happy New Year, Y'all!

Thanks, Hortmage! (and you're welcome  )

It took me forever to come up with that joke, but after that the whole strip just fell into place. And coming up with the ads was the best part! When the large strip gets posted to the hi-res site you'll be able to read them all, too.

Oho! Very well done, Mr. Trepal! I got a good chuckle out of it!

I expect that more details will add to the amusement when the hi-res version goes up. I can see, from the standard version, the "Increase your rack!" advertisement. ;)

Nicely executed.
