5 Strips for next week!

PostPosted: Thu Dec 05, 2002 7:35 pm

Ah... :D

There will be 5 strips next week.
2 on Monday and 2 on Friday with
a big one on Wednesday. :)

I just finished inking all of them. :D

Alternately, I *could* put them up over
the next week and a half, but I kinda
want to move the story ahead, and I just
plain *LIKE* Friday's strip a lot. :)

The forum's been quiet this week. I'm
hoping next week will be more noisy. :)

Wuf! Now I gotta color 'em all. (Yipe!)
Tomorrow.

For now, I've been a good boy and I want
my toy. (Well, okay, no new toy, but I
want to play for a bit and relax.)

Odd observation of the day:
Ear rings, body piercings and tattoos are now
more socially acceptable than a Hawaiian shirt.

Darn.

I agree

First of all im still earning how to quote so give me some time on that. and as far as Hawaiian shirts being socially unacceptable...No way, i love hawaiian shirts, society must accept them :P and people with certain piercing make me sick. Not refering to the nipple piercing or nose rings I mean the belly button piercing, tongue piercing, etc. Its not that i hate these people, but...Thats not right.

great news! More is better :D Re: forum being quiet, I had a hard time replying to a couple of posts. See my new topic: What the @^#%$@ or whatever I randomly typed. Ah well, I think Jack is going to to create some social upheaval. Thats always good. Complacency breeds boredom if not contempt. --doc

Hawaiian Shirts

I think everyone, regardless of race, creed, color, gender, sexual preference, lifestyle, peer group, and body piercing/tattoo preference
should have the right to stand up and wear a really colorful shirt in
public with pride!

Or maybe I just spent too much time living in Corpus Christi with all
the sand and palm trees...

Interesting how the times change.

Now the fashion hurts the wearer, before it hurt everyone else.

Sorry, couldn't resist. :D

*bad boy no biscuit*

I'd probably wear Hawaiian shirts but it'd make it to difficult to be glum. :o

Naw, couldn't happen. It's too hard to be angsty enough when wearing anything that colorful.

As far as the quietness (quietetude? quietosity? quietefication?) I suspect it's the occassional forum technical difficulties. It's hard to expound our brilliant, Nobel-worthy observations (my Hawaiian/goth one being a perfect example) only to see them vanish into the bit bucket. Not for our own egos' sake, of course, but because of the keen awareness of the loss to mankind. Though in all seriousness, since the forums have been back up they've worked perfectly for me.

Which doesn't mean I object to getting extra strips. :D

Woops, spoke a teensy bit too soon. It posted my above post twice. I couldn't delete the second one, but I changed it to this somewhat shorter text.

5 Strips! Wohoo!

The forum really has been pretty quiet this week.

Slightly OT: I'm curious as to how you ink your drawings. I also noticed the lines are different thicknesses.

Maybe just too much time in the sun

I had a hawaiian shirt that was black with blue tropical flowers ... not brilliantly obnoxious, a goth might survive it :P

I went to a Dead Can Dance concert with a buddy once; we wore Hawaiian shirts, two spots of color in a sea of black. I thought the other people at the show were gonna lynch us, but Lisa Gerrard appeared to appreciate the joke.

BTW, folks, I'm insanely busy at work and in the studio these days... especially since Atomic City just got the go-ahead to start planning what may end up as the largest electronic space music festival in America (which isn't saying much, as no festival has ever attracted more than three bands and 500 listeners...small genre). I'm trying to keep up with Keen threads, but if anyone wants to direct email to me it's much MUCH more reliable to mail to baxtrr@atomiccity.com.

That includes Little_Dragon, at whom I am aggrieved because he sent me a wonderful tape of Road Rovers episodes and not only refused my attempts to give him CDs in return, he didn't even put a return address on the box! I have been given something nice and generous without the opportunity to give back, and it's driving me crazy. Er.

Whoohoo! Great news Scott! I loved today's comic by the way :) And euhm, about the inactivity... Well, I'm just no regular poster. But I'm sure you had that figured out already.

Quick question for you all:

Again, we'll have 5 strips to run next week.
Do you prefer having 2 on Monday and 2 on Friday, or would
you prefer just a straight run Monday through Friday?

Running five days a week can be pretty hard on the body when you're not used to running at all...what?!

OHHH, you mean do we strip five times a weeks? I usually trot around bare back all the time anyway. I'm known to streak around a lot, but not strip five times a week.

"How'd you get here?" the little unicorn pony looks surprised at the love of his eternity.

"Where's my Holiday Outfit?" Florence asked.

"Ahhh...It's at the Dry Cleaners?"

I vote for a straight run. The coming week is going to be nuts for me, so a daily "fox fix" is really needed. :D

Hmm... :(

I'm afraid I've probably spoken too soon.
I appreciate the enthusiasm, but, now that I think of it
I'd rather go with the MWF update.

Comedy is part setup and timing, and a couple
of the strips are far better when put together than
they are separately.

Thanks anyway,

Sorry,

Scott

If my opinion is worth anything ...

[we pause momentarily to allow all forumites to take their best shot, hoping, of course, that they remember Santa Claws IS watching...]

...I would opt for 1 per day. I'll be spending part of the holiday with my in-laws, starting the day after Xmas (is that Boxing Day?). Knowing the madhouse I'm driving in to, I could definitely use a "bit o' fox" every day.

Happy Holidays to y'all!

I would also suggest that the daily approach is prefereable.

It would provide something to talk about on a daily basis.

I apologize for my relative lack of visibility here in recent times; hopefully, this will improve shortly. I've contributed to the quiet by not contributing to the noise, I suspect. :/

And as I missed this post of yours until just now, it seems that I am arguing after you've announced your decision. That was not my intent! I suppose that I did not spot the topic's second page.

My apologies!
