Right now, it seems to be falling in the "Up But Slow" category of
performance. If you want to keep an eye on it, the Belfry comics
listings folks have a tracker to tell weither it's up, down, sideways,
unknown or slow. 8)

Wait a minute, you mean there's an "Up But Not Slow" category.

And it's looking pretty fugly right now in fact. The web servers being slow must be why the forum server is being fast :)

I've just got an announcement from the KeenFolks.

It seems that some time during this week, they're going
to move to a more powerful, faster server. As such, there
may be some hiccups.

With luck, this should help get you the comics faster, and allow
more cartoonists to open up Keenspace Accounts.

I've asked them to start using the red KeenSpace Alert tag
(which appears at the top of the site when it's triggered)
to keep us informed of their progress on this.

However, if there *are* hiccups, we will have Mako's
site as backup, or even the ancient, backup site (which
I haven't really touched since the last time Keen had
problems.)

Anyway, there's nothing I can do about it, but I'm sorry
for the difficulties, and I hope that normal (or even better)
service will resume shortly.

Thanks!

Since KS is going to be a yo-yo, the link to the HiRez MacroFox archives is:

http://www.caspeed.com/macrofox/

Modem folks, be aware the average file size is ~220K or so. Broadband folks - the uplink data rate is capped at 128Kb/S. It takes ~30-60 seconds to grab the entire image as a result.
