Happy Halloween!

Postby Kellogg on Wed Oct 30, 2002 5:07 pm

Inspired by some odd discussions here, I just finished a little extra bit for Halloween tomorrow. :D

Happy Halloween, Folks! Enjoy the monster movies! 8)

And remember, if you want a really good laugh out of the Godzilla movies, keep the closed captioning on. :D

Have a Safe Halloween

Postby ZOMBIE USER 7666 on Wed Oct 30, 2002 7:08 pm

My Halloween will be spent visiting my mother-in-law in South Carolina for a whole week--now that's frightening.

I'll be offline (Nov 1 - 7, 2002). Behave yourselves... :D

I'll be spending my Hallowe'en wondering where it came from. We didn't do Hallowe'en here until after ET showed. I was always puzzled by the Charlie Brown special when I was young. I had no idea what it was all about. :o

Pretty much, yeah. It was practically non-existant and almost unheard of until then. My minimal exposure was through the occasional special on telly and vague rumours from people who visited the US. Then, after ET, everyone sort of got it and over the next few years we started seeing a hallowe'en tradition. (For very small values of tradition.)

Stunning what you learn in the forums :)

It is, innit! :)

For some reason, my brouser choked on the PNG file,
so I switched a GIF in it's place. Not sure why.
Probably just Photoshop and Internet Explorer arguing.

Interesting! So Spielberg was successful in exporting
Halloween! Neat! :D

The world could use a bit of celebration of fantasy and
monster movies and costumes and chocolate candy
for kids. 8)

Oh, it's better than you think. Read the alt tag and you'll discover that Scott has managed to work, not one, but <a href="http://www.mzzkiti.com/tech04.htm">TWO</a> obscure inside-jokes into one comic strip!

...now if only you could have worked in a pun or Monty Python gag also, I think you would have been elegable for the Web Cartoonist Hall of Fame. :D

Does anyone worry that webcomics may be part of a clandestine attempt by unicorn protection devices (the red rubber ball, shown on the cover of the Gneech's Never Never collection "Childproof the Unicorns," and oft-discussed in Freefall forums) bent on world domination?

Well you should! I've finally found the secret memos and e-mails they've been exchanging. Tell everyone before it's too late! We must.... aaaarrrrgh.

Our.. er, my apologies, that was all a typo. All is well. Please continue, citizens.
