if the lions really wanted information about the Lindburg probe, me thinks there is at least a half dozen better ways to get it (they had jenny in their own paws for a moment there, didnt they?). I am pretty sure scoobe knows this to, still has his grudge against Jack, and is looking to exploit the prediciment to his own ends.
Anyone else feel like he deserved that hoof to the head?

I suspect you're probably right, but there's another way to look at it. Scobee probably doesn't know about Jack's lion troubles, and given Scoob's job, this may have honestly been what first came to mind.

Though I think, regadless, yes, he did deserve that hoof to the head. He's a bit too ready to shoot down hijacked Jack. Even if it was an honest mistake, careful reflection should've told him he was off-base, and he should've done a bit of careful reflection before making the call. I think he should have to pay for the pedicure.

Well he sure takes the direct approach. Kind of 'we had to destroy the village in order to save it' thinking. Of course he is still probably motivated to whack Jack. --doc :-?

I pointed out that Scobee is a Section-8 discharge in the making. To play Devil's Advocate for a moment, he is unaware of the lion problems, and was thinking in military terms. The probe is probably not something the Public at large knows about, and there may be concern that the probe's tech may be used for military ends should the wrong people possess it.

That being said, he owes that giraffe a pedicure :)

Lots of people jump to conclusions.

Some people have favorite conclusions that they just love to jump to.

The Hatfields love to conclude that the McCoys are at fault.
The McCoys love to conclude that the Hatfields are at fault.
Liberals, Conservatives, Republicans & Democrats.
"Ha! Roosevelt wanted war! He let us be attacked!"

Scobee doesn't know about the happenings with the lions and
is jumping to his favorite conclusion, based on the evidence
he knows about.

Hello, CPOK!

I chuckled at your "diplomacy" quote; in the worlds you visit, some of the "doggies" are likely to have bigger rocks...
