Keenspace Banner Ads

Keenspace Banner Ads

Postby Kellogg on Wed Oct 16, 2002 4:50 pm

Hey Folks,

This may or may not be annoying to some folks, but there's an ad on Keenspace that we can do very little about. Keenspot has tried to get it removed, but no luck. I don't really mind the ads much, but this particular one makes noise. And every time my computer makes a noise I don't expect it to, it alarms me.

Anyway, I'm afraid that Gav of Keenspot has argued with the advertising companies and hasn't won yet.

The good news is that Keenspot should be returning to profitability soon!
Yay! This is a good thing! It means my comic stays with the host! Yay!

Anyway, if you want to avoid the ad, getting the Keenspace Premium
option should block all ads and help keep Keen in business. :D

Mainly, I just wanted to let you all know that I'm aware of how annoying the ad is, Keenspace is aware, Keenspot is aware, and they're trying to
do something about it.

Thanks!

Scott

Yea, but it's flashing that means I won right?

I keep my speakers turned off most of the time because I can't stand any computer noise.

Or are you just going to be a TEASE

I apologize; AdSubtract is cleverly hidden under Google for "AdSubtract" or at AdSubtract.com. There's a free trial period of 30 days, I think, and then the license is something like $29.
