LEO insertion impending?

That's Lion in Earth Orbit (sans ship). :o

Take lions invading the territory of one wolf with bionic lower half and the anti-ballistic hoof treaty ceases to be a factor. Maybe we'll see Scobee's temper put to good use.

At first I found myself wondering how the lion's got in there in the first place, but thought about it for a few moments and recalled lions run much of the political show. That being the case, it'd be no big whoop for them to get into the facility and hustle Jack away on the QT, although there's gonna be some serious fall out over this action.

Scooby Doo could be useful here, but he's unlikely to be very motivated given the massive loss of status he feels he's suffered at Jack's paws.

But after the dressing down that Smelly gave him, Scobee probably feels that he needs to help resolve this situation. His career, or at least his participation in the space program, is already on the line because of his attitude, so this could be a start in proving that he is not a slave to his temper.

The current (10/11) strip shows a start in this change of attitude. Scobee responds calmly to the implied accusation that he had something to do with Jack's disappearance, and detects a clue to his whereabouts.

On the other paw...
Scobee merely said that he didn't touch Jack. Perhaps he was the one that notified the lions about Jack' presence at LMT.
(I don't think that this is the case, but it's a possibility)

Well LMT security did run Jack's ID through the system and discovered Jack was a lion. Any security system worth it's salt has a full audit and notification capability in it. That makes it simple for the lions to track Jack's movements...

Really really minor correction:
It wasn't LMT (Lockheed Martin Textron) security where they were
stopped, but Kenedy Spaceport Security. Like most military bases
essentually, once you prove you've got legitimate business to get through
the main gate, you can pretty much go whereever you need to go. That's
not to say there aren't secure areas, (Smelly's office has a palm scanner
on the door) but the LMT building itself does not have a specific security
badge check beyond the front gate.

I guess I just want to emphisize that this is a spaceport with the
emphisis on port of commerce. There are a LOT of companies
working here, and security is different all over. Some places are
open welcome areas, with no security unless a guard happens to be
walking by. Other areas will be guarded. Some areas will even be
kept secure by people armed with more than just great big bears with
really massive teeth.

Since the place is under the terrorist threats of the Disney Fundamentalists
Security is now tighter than it normally is, but it's still fairly relaxed,
except those areas where access is controlled.

We have Lions in Factions
in Lion infractions.
A two-party system?
No doubt, his team missed him

But she really nailed him
and knife hand assailed him
Now will they embargo
Their still-living cargo?

Side note: In the current Mynarski Forest, lower right corner -- white unicorn with red rubber ball. Totally random chance, I'm sure. ;)

Today will be busy...

Stinky, we have a big problem.

The lions really hate it when one of their own gets their rear handed to them on a silver platter, and the main fox may have inadvertently ticked off someone powerful, and we know how if you hurt a lion's pride, they will do their best to hurt you bad.

Scobee now has a chance to redeem himself, and maybe avoid taking a section-8 discharge.
