Jenny's Poster (ie: Great Pilots ...)

I came across Level Head's poem, on the old new forum, about the original poster by Scott for the Bali Hai poster featuring Jenny.

Now, you have to realize that this lion very rarely saves his modified stuff as the original file. I normally add a "2" or "a" or something to keep the modified file and the original seperate.

To that end, here is the original black and white poster that I colored:

You can see what changes I did. :=3

Mostly, I cleaned up the "arrow" and put a typed solgan in using "MicrogrammaDMedExt".

There are subtle differences in the colorizing of Jenny in my two versions. Mostly I used the same "colors" that Scott does in the final colorized drawing, as well as outlining the, now to be known, "lenses" with black instead of gold. I thought they were "rings" or hoops" at first.

After looking at the original artwork I just noticed I missed the period after the word "trained". :=/

So the text should read: "Great pilots aren't born. They're trained. Here. Bali Hai Aviation"

If Sir Scott wants, I can change the text to reflect the original intent. :=3

(BTW, the image handling for this forum is busted for Netscape, but appears to work acceptable well for IE.)

But the point of my little bit of doggerel (foxerel?) was the differences between those and THIS:

Originally, the slogan came from a poster at a flight school that just knocked me back for a loop.

Because no one is *born* a great pilot. It's a lot of hard work, and you
need good training.

After I'd talked to the instructor at the school for a while, I was convinced that the poster was right. The best pilots in the world are trained, and they were trained *there*.

? I have Netscape (that much I do know) and I can see the images quite clearly.

Hmm...

I've never run Netscape, so I never have had much of a chance to error check with it. :/

I do know they're going to do some work on the Forum in the next few days, and at times it may be unavailable. I hope that it will fix the problem.

My guess is that Level Head and Quill are both running different revisions of Netscape though... :/ It's only a guess of course.

And Netscape 4.78, which is seven times faster than 6.2 (and eleven times faster that 7.0) for hadnling large volumes of e-mail. I cannot change without losing the time I would use to participate here.
