Bush's NUKULAR Country Danger List

Just thought that people would like to know that the reaction, to Bush's list of nations considered a possible nuclear threats, inside the Army was positively grim. Even the most conservative and reactionary of my coworkers were referring to the commander in chief as an "Ass-sucking lemur", etc.

What I find most amazing is that in addition to the "Axis of Evil" nations on the list, there's China, with whom I thought we were supposed to be making friends now. Of course, GWB's idea of making friends is a lot like a schoolyard bully's idea of popularity... I imagine China's presence on the list is just a little more leverage in the liberalization of trade with them. "You WILL clear some land for Sino-Disney World, won't you?"

Somehow, though, I get the feeling that Bush leaves China unimpressed.

China was the big grumbler. A lot of people kicking dirt around and discussing sheap airfares to Canada if we really piss off the Chinese.

The popularity of the kung fu movie has led today's American soldier to conclude one thing. We'd prefer to leave them the fuck alone. Our leaders may not have learned from Vietnam, but the Army's proletariat has seen Platoon, etc. too many times to think that our military would prove dominant on Asian soil.

I can imagine. Especially if they can all do that jumping-around-off-walls-and-kick-you-in-the-head thing...
