Your iguana has my deepest sympathies.

I had budgies a long time ago. I finally got bored of them when they refused to learn to talk, and gave them away. Yeah, my pet story sucks.

thank you. my iguana appreciates the sentiment.

i have no ide what "budgies" are but i assume that they are palm sized mexican wrestlers. the probably wouldn't talk becase you were not speaking spainish.

No, budgies are birds, like mini-parrots.

Google image search turned up this:
<img src="http://www.dinosaurdays.co.za/d2/budgie.jpg">
That should give you some idea of what budgies are.

I believe Americans refer to Budgies as Parakeets.

I prefer the name "budgerigar" as it means, "good food."

I've got 2 goldfish that I've had for 16 years,

In the same time my sister has had, 3 budgies, 4 hamsters and 3 rabbits (the last rabbit is still alive)

I suppose it proves the old theroy, the more boring a pet the longer it lives

If you want a long lived pet get a fish :D

I'm thinking that my next pet should be a tap dancing wombat so I could get it shown on TV and make some cash :wink:

Didn't know goldfish could live that long.

I want a sea turtle as a pet.
