Ok, onto another topic altogether....
Well, I have recently come upon a way to get my hands on a file sharing service, so I have something I would like to ask. Does anyone have recommendations for anime to watch?
ANYTHING is possible...within limits.
Those limits are set on ourselves by ourselves.
The trick is getting around them...

eh? I don't follow. Where do the animes come from? I'm a little new to this.

Trigun! Check that out! I hear it's really good, though I never seen it yet. I want to though. . . wish I had an american dish. The canadian one has no animes besides YTV which gets the kinda cruddy stuff like (Medabots, Digimon, Sailor moon, pokemon blarg) I don't watch that stuff. . .well Guilmon is cool but that's the only one Oo;;;

I'm not exactly sure what you like as far as anime goes, but Heroic tale of Arslan, Princess Mononoke and Record of the Lodoss Wars are a few of fantasy animes that are pretty good.

I know thatTarsier wrote:Our Peerless leader just wanted the names of some Anime Cartoon titles the folks here like. doesn't have anything to do with the Wings of Change comic itself as far as I know.

Well, if it makes any difference, I'll list my favorites (In no particular order). Zoids, Card Captors, Pok

Yup, basically. If you have broadband and the right software it's possible to download and watch entire movies.Jika wrote:I know thatTarsier wrote:Our Peerless leader just wanted the names of some Anime Cartoon titles the folks here like. doesn't have anything to do with the Wings of Change comic itself as far as I know., but what does animes got to do with a file sharing service? Is it a way of sharing video clips or something?

Thanks for all the suggestions! I've been trying out a bunch of Anime now. One I've been enjoying a lot of is Trigun, and I've been downloading a lot of the episodes to watch. I've heard a lot of good things about it from many places so I thought I'd give it a try. I think next I'm gonna try seeing if I can find some EVA anime, whatever the full name of that is...
As for some other things I've tried that havn't been mentioned on this board yet but which have been recommended by other places *cough-brother-cough* I'll list them here too. "Jungle Wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu" is a really warped little series. Watch it if you want a laugh and don't mind being a bit confused (I'm sure one to talk). Its title translation is "The jungle was always nice, then came Guu." It is worthless trying to explain just how warped the series is, you kinda have to watch it yourself. As near as I can tell it's an excuse to have tons of parodies.
And speaking of parodies, here's an anime I bummed off the network at college which is a parody of every single fantasy anime and show out there. It's called "Those who hunt elves." After watching the series, the main thing to know about it is that the whole thing is an excuse to have these people going around stripping the clothes off elves to try and find some magical runes that got tatooed on five of them. Now WHY just about all the elves that show up on the show are female I don't know. You wonder where all the men are. But for all the fan boys of the series, I bet they don't want to know and don't care. Heh.
But probably the biggest thing I would like to note for people to watch which I have really enjoyed off the network at school as well is the Inuyasha Series. It is a long series and I've been watching it for a while. Currently on episode number 89. As with anything this long, the plot gets extremely complicated, but me...I like those long plots. It's one of those that has something everyone can enjoy. Sure there's a bunch of fighting, but theres also drama and of course romance of a bit as well. It's probably the closest I'm ever gonna get to watching a soap opera. And of course on top of this all there's a heaping dash of humor. You just gotta love a series where the word "Osai" or "sit" in Japanese causes a guy with dog ears to thud to the ground.
Well that's it for now, I'll let you know what I think when I have more to review...

Aii! I love Inuyasha and Trigun! ^_^ Inuyasha I haven't watched much of, but I read the manga. It's really a fantastic series, as is Trigun.... if you haven't watched the Slayers series, I highly recommend all of that. It is simply hilarious. So is Ranma 1/2, and Fruits Basket, a shoujou series. It has some similarities to Ranma, and, like any good shoujou anime/manga, has plenty of guys to drool over... Kyou and Yuki being the most popular from what I've seen. I've enjoyed the few episodes of Star Ocean EX I've seen, but that might be because I loved the game. Still, it has nice animation, and I think the characters are pretty good. Ooh! Rurouni Kenshin is fun, too, although I prefer the manga. Lovely artwork. Not quite as nice as Blade of the Immortal, but still lovely. Orooo...
Oh, and the word Kagome uses is actually "osuwari".
I've only seen a few episodes of Inuyasha, but like I said, I've been following the manga for awhile (five or six years, actually... has it really been so long?) ... there's an excellent site with manga translations. I'm rather attached to my tankoubon collection.
I must say I'm rather jealous, though... I've been having trouble getting anime online. 'Course, I use Kazaa, but using the college ethernet should mean I can download stuff at a decent rate.
Frekie, whose favorite IY character is Houjou... she seems to be drawn to clueless characters.
