British slang meaning a lout, hooligan, obnoxious drunk, or British tourist abroad.

But would it be the same thing in this context? I mean, Flora said that yobs were "bigger than Nick." Is this another one of those pixy-culture things?

Huh. I didn't know yob was a British slang word. Learn something new every day... Thanks for the info Reinder.

Uh, yes I am thinking of it in reference to pixy culture. As to exactly what it is, let me quote from a certain webcomic called Narbonic.

"Heh. Heh. Heh."
-Alpha Narbon

Hm? Yessss. I beleive that will do very nicely in this case.
:)

Um, hehe, I may have been living under a rock. What's Narbonic?

Not quite. The word will show up in ROCR in about a month's time. There's a parallel with a word that exists in real-life American English, referring to (mostly) kids who use phrases like "Yo!" and "Y'know what I'm sayin'?" a lot. This real-life word is a combination of two words, one of which is very offensive, but the combination, apparently, is not. Go figure.
