Dad gets operated on tomorrow (thursday the 14th) They will remove 6" of his colon. They will not touch his liver, or gallstones. They anticipate him being out around Sunday. We shall see.

Anybody in the position to offer prayers for healing of our family, either spiritually or physically, it would be greatly appreciated.

He already has mine but I offer them again. Is he feeling any better since you last mentioned him to us?

Heh, thanks again, can never get too much of a good thing from the Lord! =^^=

He's definitely worried and has been quite moody lately, the family is getting stressed out. Mom is showing signs or wear. That's why I'm asking for prayers for my family.

Well, here's hoping you all feel better by the time this is over and he's back to being his old self.

Thanks for all the prayers folks! :D

The operation went outstandingly well, they cut out 6" of the offending section of my father's colon, we'll see how long it takes for him to receuperate. As of this time he is not permitted to eat or drink anything..

"A beer would really taste good, right now!"

He'll be in the hospital for 5-7 days, depending on when he is able to pass gas (there's a charming medical standard! :P )

On the down side, his liver is riddled with cancerous nodules. His age (84) pretty much precludes any sort of operation to remove them, or mess with them in any way. His colon is Ok, but we'll see about the rest of his body.

Again they're talking 1 - 6 months, maybe a year, maybe 5 years, how it happens is all up to God.

Again thank you all for your support! =^^=

That's good to hear! I'm glad he's doing well, and I'm certain he'll be around a while. The tumors are likely gonna be benign, so he should have at least a good few years with his family yet, and I hope that they're happy for all concerned.
