What are you listening to right now?

When you posted I believe I was listening to WFHM's Christmas Music Marathon.
EDIT: No, I had a phone call at that exact time.

Well, I was at work when he posted it. Oldies rock radio to and from work, but before that the last deliberate pick I made was Carmina Burana. I'm very eclectic with music - only things I -won't- listen to are Country & Western, dentist-office music, and (c)Rap.

I thought we were discussing music. rap=a conversation with a title.

Short list:

Anything with a strong backbeat and a good melody. Otherwise, it's everything from Beethoven to Glenn Miller to Beatles to Metallica to Cher, and every music style from big band swing to "shake that thing".

Yours eclectically,

The musical,

Wanderer

Yep. Like Will Smith's old stuff, like some of Kid 'N' Play's stuff. can't stand Tupac and the other "gangstas gotta cuss every other word" crowd. Like some of the beatmasters and some of the samplemasters.

Yours truly,

The well-rounded,

Wanderer

Um, right now I'm listening to some metal - DragonForce, SonataArctica, and Nightwish.
It does not take a majority to prevail ... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men. - attributed to Samuel Adams

That seems to be true for the majority of my interests, too, but I often add good female vocals to the mix.

In the car I've got CDs of ZZ Top, Three Dog Night, Queen, Heart, Christina Agulaira, Pink, Spice Girls, Evanessence, "Nadia: the Secret of the Blue Water" soundtracks, a big band compilation, Neil Diamond...

Of course, my latest project is going through some of my Dad's old LPs, where I found his nine different New Christy Minstrels albums. (A fun group from the early 60's - choral folk music.)

I would have hoped to say something meaninful, or possible inciteful. But, alas.
How goes the world today? From right to left or left to right? Perhaps it runs round mad reels, turning in on itself only at long last to blow away with the leaves and gutter-trash.
How goes the world today? Top to Bottom or Bottom to Top? Perhaps it will rise high enough so that it may see the back of its own head, in a maddening tunnel of infinity.
How goes the world today? Clockwise or Counter? Perhaps it will spin itself mad, curling a spring-from into endlessness.
Or maybe, today, it will just stop.
