Firefox 2.0 Release

Firefox 2.0 Release

Postby Jaydub on Tue Nov 07, 2006 9:17 am

Hey, If you have not tried Firefox yet here is another reason to try it now!

Firefox now has a built in spell checker and it works with the forum postings. If you misspell or mistype a word in the posting it is underlined in red and offers corrections when you right click the word. No more having to cut and paste from word if you want to check your spelling. :) :)

See, I would love to use it but there are certain stuff that it does not handle very well. Like my DA stuff, can it do that this time around?

Not sure what you mean by DA stuff but if it takes Internet explorer to run there is a plug in available that you can use to open pages in a tab in Firefox using Internet explorer as a plug in. That has been available in 1.5 as well.

DA? You mean Deviant Art? I've never had a problem with it working on Firefox...

The problem is really not taking the time to read it word for word after I type it and before I post. I know what I am typing I guess my fingers cannot keep up. :(

IINM, "key" could be replaced by "quay." Otherwise, jolly good show.

I'm still irritated that it broke tabmix plus. When I middle-click on a tab, I expect it to load a URL from the clipboard, not close the tab!

Given the popularity, I'm very surprised that Firefox didn't just assimilate tab mix plus like it did some other popular extensions...
