Oh I agree on first glance those are each of their opinions of the other seen through the look-glass of what they Expect the other to look like.

I would assume (well ok, none of us have any reference for this at all) with familiarity to the race, it may be possible, given time, for love matches to happen.

(My thought would be, the personality would be more important than the shape of the body.)

From an earlier post it was mentioned that the elves are so short lived due to a missing magical cup.

Is it possible to recover the cup at all?

Well, a few individuals may be attracted to other species. But I imagine it would be rare. Still, would such a cross be even fertile?

O like a Liger, (Tiger Lion crossbread) Yeah they are possible, but always stirile. Again I stress that crossbreading should only be possible by like speices, or speices that share an evolutionary common ancestory.

Well, according to the conventional wisdom, it SHOULD be. Half the point of such a match would be that it COULDN'T be based very strongly on physical attractiveness.
Ralph has weighed in and that basically settles it as far as what WILL happen in the story. And that is fine.

Exactly, thats it damit. That part of life between ages 16 and 18 not just confusing for the teens but also for society, witch doesn't know what to do with. Not that I'm saying that there ready for "adult hood" at 16 but there is a large differance in how quikely all these kids mature. Some are lagging badly, and others sprint head first.

Concervatives would like to beleave that just prettending they're all still just children, perhaps the situation and the lazyness of those charged with the responsibility of leagaly defining such things forces us to paint with a wide brush, but when something like this happends, is it not up to the initial two consenting parties to determine if it was what they wished to do. Or am I mistaken.

Nither a child nor an adult, society has judged such youths as not being able nor compitent of making these dissisions for themselves, and that rubbs me the wrong way.

At the same time society wants to hold such youths responsible for there actions against others as adults with adult punishments. Something is wrong here.

Eh. Appearance doesn't matter that much when you're talking about who women are attracted to, and female elves and rac cona are close enough that the males won't worry too much- they've both got all the bits that count.

This leaving aside that I'd bet most of the male elves who have achieved positions of power in their little packs are probably rapists anyway, and would probably have no problems with the prospect of raping a rac cona woman (though whether or not he's actually capable of carrying it out is another thing).
