Well, it looks like Quentyn's finally getting off the ground, at least he got Meribeth off her feet first.

Well, it was either that or "He left her groggy"

Notice how he's running back to his boat before she can get over the shock?

Now she gets to be known as "the person the Questor said 'goodbye' to"!

(I still think Rahan is going to make a play for her out of -- well, take your pick of motivations. None of which would probably involve Meribeth herself.)

Rahan won't have a snowballs chance in Hell......Meribeth's already shot him outta the saddle at the Flagon. She knows he's nothing but a rich bully, and while she'll wait on him at the tavern.....otherwise wants nothing to do with him.

I never said he'd get anywhere. But with Rahan's ego, I have to assume he'll try. Repeatedly. And seeth more and more every time she reminds him that he's not as good as Quentyn.

Or she'd say that Quenty's more of a male than he'd ever be?

Already said, of course, but I'm sure she wouldn't mind repeating it.

Maybe Rahan's finally gotten Quentyn out of his system. Can you imagine how much of his life he's wasted plotting against Quentyn? The extra time might even make enough of a difference to make his own reputation.
