I guess we know who Quentyn wants for his significant other!

Go Quentyn. I guess he made up his mind on who he likes. Poor Kessie.

Well, you guys got to realize, he DOSEN'T KNOW that Kes had any feelings for him. Best friends was all he thought, and according to the neration, which probably takes place at least after this quest, he didn't know untill much later what she had almost done. TO be honest? with Fen right there in Sanctuary with her, I thinkthey actually stand a better chance of becoming romantically involved than Kes and Quinten.
Meribeth on the other hand, he has had his eye on since that first night in the Guilded Flagon(granted, it was the eye of a boy probably just realizing girls are not so horrible after all). He's tried to act the gentleman around her and has fallen on his muzzle at least three times (can we really count the time she got him drunk?), still, there is an attraction there that Quinten knows about. Beleive me, you'll go for the one you know long before you go for the one that'll blindside you. Granted she *IS* the older woman (I am not sure I think she's around 18 and he's 15/16 now, I *THINK*) but for a race of people that lives 200-300 years is that really all that big a difference?
It may be the only chance he gets, and he took it!
Well done!

But kissing is bigger than dancing. And we know that he later "regrets" that Kes did not kiss him that night. That implies that there is some reason they cannot get together later. Most likely he is married later. And Meribeth is currently in the lead (most likely stay at home model, although she may have talents that allow her to go along).

Did anyone notice that Quenyn is standing on some crates to kiss her?

I'm having trouble parsing that, but whatever...
Hopefully she's not like most women who want tall guys - notice Quentyn had to stand on one of the barrels? I assume he's more or less as tall as he's ever going to get
Go, Quentyn! Go! I can't wait to see Meribeth's response or lack of it if she's too dazed from the sudden kiss.
My mind is in conlict as to what'll happen(or what I think will happen). One part says that she'll slap him while Quentyn thinks that 'It was worth it.' and another part says that Meribeth will surprise Quentyn by continuing the kiss when Quentyn starts to pull away and then it's his turn to go 'eep'.
Though I have to wonder what the news scripts in Sanctuary are going to write about this.
Go, Quentyn! Its your birthday, Its your birthday. Its PBJ Time!!!
And on that note, he sails away in to the wild blue yonder. Sigh, even in medieval era, heros are the all the same.
