How about "Seeker" or "Lux Seeker" because it will help Quintyn seek out the artifacts. :)

"Little Cloud" sounds a bit off but maybe something along those lines. "Moonpetal" or maybe some lady's name since that's the tradition I think(raconnan might not have it though) so how about "Kestrel"? ;) Or maybe "Meribeth" if the sandbags on the ship... nah.

Sojourn
Peregrine
Wayfarer
Great White
Albatross

I dunno. They're kinda generic. Maybe I'll think of somethin better once I've had more sleep.

Ok, you asked for it!

Undaunted, The High and Mighty, Aces High, Far Horizon, Sojourner, Wanderer, Odyssey, Beating the Air (I am making a reference to 1 Corinthians 9:26 with that), Beyond The Argent Curtain, White Stag, Awakening of the Stars, Empyrean Traveler, Eagle Without Shadow, Min H'yung Kyaddaum, Cloud Fortress, Moonfire, Black Ribbon, He Is Risen, Stag's Feet Upon High Places... um... that's all I can think of for now...

Ooh, ooh, maybe Racconan Ascendant?

That goes right back to the beginning of the series. I like it!

Hmm, how about:

"Speculative Venture"
"Carte Blanche"
"Spirit of Freedom Downs"
"Sanctuary"
"Da*n Near Anything" (no, I might want to use that one myself)
"Skyhook"
"Death From Above" (nah, not his style)
"Artifact Hunter"
"the Ship"
"Work" (as in "I've got to get back to...")

"Marco Polo" (the exploring merchant) would presume a knowledge of Earth history...

I know it dosen't exactly fit with the current storyline but, I have a thing for naming ships after exploration vessels of the past.

Discovery/Godspeed (both from Jamestown)
Enterprise (fought in Tripoli)
Endeavour (James Cook)
Resolution (James Cook)
Fram (Roald Amundsen)
Half Moon (Henry Hudson)
Mayflower (Christopher Jones) [this may be very appropriate, depending on what time of year it is on Airth]
Terra Nova (Robert F. Scott - bad luck for Quentyn?)
Little Dove (William Janszoon, discovered Australia)
Nimrud (Ernest Shackleton)

Mmmno. Puddle jumpers need puddles to jump in.

Or jump across. Might be good, if Quentyn needs to cross some oceans...

Hmmm, simply Freeman Downs? It is a tradition with some navies to use city names, after all.
