Village Assembly
And two more things: Didn't the RiB say that they wanted to speak to each of the counsel members? I got the impression that they wanted individual private audiences. How will they react to Lady Rose calling an assembly?
Two: Maybe I'm just unenlightened, but... what old wives tales about chooley's? I've never heard one.

Agreed, I'm begining to feal left out. We could start a club Called the LOCRA(Left out Comic Readers Anonymous), Or we could simply bug people untill they finally give in and tell us.Sariah wrote:Two: Maybe I'm just unenlightened, but... what old wives tales about chooley's? I've never heard one.
Also I've found aswell that Ralph Enjoys bringing us to the edges of our seats as we Attempt to figure out what happens next. I bet he'd get a kick out of the number of people who fall out of their chairs in anticipation...well least I fell out of my chair once...occasionally... T T...

Ha, I know I would "if" I had my own comic. Only make up little ideas, don't make anything...yet. Not enough time for me, although I do have a fair amount of time this week, next week, and the week after... I'll do a little scriblies every here an' there. So again, Ralph or anyone care to share the little wives tale?Sariah wrote:And I bet he loves it even more when all of our guesses are miles away. I am so hooked on this comic!!!

To the best of my memory, this wives' tale about chooleys hasn't come up in the comic yet... I could be wrong on that, but I have the feeling that it's something that hasn't been explained, but will be later (eventually).
Or it could be something on the CDs, I suppose. But from an artistic standpoint, I'd throw my weight in with the former (unless I'm just competely forgetting the reference, in which case someone else will have to correct me).

Your memory proves you well, they haven't been discussed in the comic yet. I do believe that it may have been put on one of the CD's and I still lack a way of attaining one. I'll manage for now untill a later time.Wayfarer wrote:To the best of my memory, this wives' tale about chooleys hasn't come up in the comic yet... What if the blade happened to be buried inside the swamp kraken at the time?shyal_malkes wrote:I hate to nitpick but how would a sound blask kill a kracken and only stun a rac-cona? I mean of the two which has the bigger ears? or was it something like a directed blast or it doesn't effect Q as badly because he's the one it's bonded to?

The irony of RHJr introducing chooleys into the ToTQ universe is only compounded by the vast, practically 180-degree variance between his worldview and that of H.P. Lovecraft. RH, like most Christians, believes that the dichotomy of the universe is Good vs. Evil, with Good destined to reign supreme; Lovecraft divided it into Order vs. Chaos, with Chaos overwhelming Order in the end.Dalak Lutra wrote:Well I already know that Chooley was a spin off of Cthulhu, I think Ralph stated that in another Forum topic, no? But this wives tale is gettin' to me.nick012000 wrote:I'm guessing that it's a reference to Cthulhu.
EDIT:
...And then there's the Discordians, who teach that order is sometimes, but not always, a good thing, and that chaos is not necessarily a bad thing.
I mention these guys because despite the weird factor, they seem to have a solid grasp of the nuances of good and evil, insofar as such nuances exist: There's creative order (painting, architecture), destructive order (totalitarianism), creative disorder (the fall of the Berlin Wall, jazz) and destructive disorder (political riots, serial killers).

well I said it before. Rose is possibly the one this is gonna come down on.
and NO I do not mean as a scapegoat (15 people believed this and it's not what I ment)
Seeing as the gentlement came to her first about this they obviously headed to the "next of kin" of the person the contract was written to.
A debt can be passed along the same as an inheritance. So as the years went on the debt of Quentyn of Ridgedale's failure was passed along to each of his decendants finally ending at Lady Rose as it is right now.
One does have to beg the question though...why did it take them THIS LONG to attempt to reposess what eventually became Freeman Downs.

Heck, Rose may even be Quentyn I's Daughter who sold the land! You know how long they live.Namrepus221 wrote:well I said it before. Rose is possibly the one this is gonna come down on.
