*nod* The third needs a lot more work if it's to be used in the final version. But, och weel! It's a start =)

Oh...um...well...I actually really liked the third one. But you do your thing. Sounds great so far. I can do concepts for monsters or building if you want. Anything I can do to help, just name it.

Aye, but it should be a bit better than that first. Afraid that the chance of the two themes being heard exactly as in the combined version are low, though: the accompaniment for the revised version says "No. Ain't gonna do that."

Might be able to get "Made up of rearranged pieces heard before" in the combined version, though.

Any suggestions?
I have a tiny 5 Mb personal webspace that came with my ISP access. I was planning to use that, though you can't put much into the free space there. Would photobucket or something similar work? I bought a microphone, but it doesn't work with my desktop. It works with my laptop, and I have Audacity in that laptop, but it seems the last time I ran an upgrade for that laptop it somehow downloaded files for Mandriva 2006 instead of Mandrake 10.1 linux... My laptop computer is now slightly psychotic. I was only able to make one test recording before it turned into a pumpkin and flew away. Or something. Eh...

Anyway, this isn't quite the voice I was trying to do. It's just as far as I got before pumpkin season.

I kinda imagined his voice alot higher...almost like a nice golum or something. Also...if its going to be like a Zelda adventure game...do we need voices? We could do like the text conversion in those games. Might make more simple....course less intersting.

Quentyn's/Freeman Downs Theme
Wow, that's very nice, Cuerden! When we get the where-to-host-the-files thing resolved, let's make sure we save all of these, and let's make sure we keep track of who created what.

I'm sorry, Madmoonie. I didn't mean to say that the third theme was bad or anything. Just a matter of different tastes, I guess.
Yeah, I imagine Squidge's voice to be higher-pitched and a little more "gremlin-y." But still, UncleMonty, thank you for being brave enough to post something. It might take a while to get everything right, but you're doing good. :D

WAAAAAAAAAHHH!!! (sniff) :P Its alright. I am not an expert when it comes to music (opposite end of spectrum actuallly), and I did not write it or anything else. I think what the next step should be is to have locations or a basic storyline, so we can start making sprites and stuff.

Somewhat improved combined version (Still don't like the ending)

Squidgee!

Should Squidgee's theme be longer, or do you want it about that length so that it can then return to other music?

Squidge's theme is PERFECT! I love it! Makes me laugh. Matches just right.

I know that this wouldn't be used in the game, but here's a voice recording I made as a joke. :P

I don't know why but I imagined Squige's voice to be deap and gravely so both versions so far are great in my opinion (but too high for my tastes). Maybe it is Squidge's big mouth and frog-like throat that gives me the idea his voice is low. For the same reasons (big mouth) I think he sssthud hab a liszzp (should have a lisp). I will have to try doing a few voices tomorrow. There was talk about doing a ballad sung by that guy who was with Quinten when the three of them got drunk (forgot his name)...Did that get made and posted? It would help me get voices and musical themes into the right frame of mind.

Under-water sprites might be fun to do if there are such scenes (fighting those big swamp creatures - forgot what they are called)

Probably so, but I think it'd be nice if we talked to Gizmo (rppowel@gizmonet.net) about it.

ight. so he's not one of us lot under a different nme =). Worth asking, anyway: t'd get us several completed character sprites, though not, perhaps, facing all the directions they'll need to.

Like the idea of zooming in on the face of people talking.

Oh, we want to know what TOTQ sprites you've made and whether or not we could use them for a game. Also, do you have the time / inclination to make more sprites?
