Yup, to keep the father bit a secret. And well. that was also true, from a certain point of view.Mjolnir wrote:Yup, that's what Vader said. But what David Prowse (the man inside the suit) said was "Obi-wan killed your father."shyal_malkes wrote:...Vader says "no, I am your father"![]()

No, don't run. I understand that there are people that like them. I don't mind watching them as pop corn, turn my brain off movies. But they don't hold a candle to the originals, IMHO.Madmoonie wrote:(meekly holds up trembling hand)
Ummm.....I LIKED those the new movies, especially episode 3. WAAAAAAAAAH! (runs from rotten tomatoes.)
They had some interesting points, but leaving aside the "quality" issues, I found a lot of them ... disturbing. In the first three movies, the Jedi were unambiguously the Good Guys. In the prequels... I found they were just another amoral power group.Madmoonie wrote:(meekly holds up trembling hand)

Not quite the same as saying "[Vader] betrayed and murdered your father" meaning "Your father fell from grace but I don't think an 18 year old is mature enough to handle that fact, so I'll make you hate him instead."Chaser617 wrote:I think I just demonstrated Kenobi's Principle of Certain Point of View there.....
