Okay, the coins are forgeries. How many would be able to tell? Very few.

The plot is obvious. The expansionists are making it LOOK like the open traders are trading with humans. In fact, no trade is going on.

This is why it was so important for the magical items not to be traceable. They are being sold back into the racconan society. If they could be traced, that would become immediately apparent.

Layers within layers....

Oh it's pretty clear that the fences wanted the kids to be caught. If they were truly interested in secrecy, they would have smelted the coins and turned it into RacConan currency, which wouldn't attract as much attention.

An interesting question is where the backers are getting the metal for this money? Even if they're forging their own human coins they're sinking an awful amount of money into this operation.

Classic frame job, or it could be the OT are doing this to frame Expansionists. Since people will assume its the Expansionists trying to frame the OT, when it is really the OT the entire time. Or the Expansionists could be framing the OT, by making it look like the OT are framming the Expansionists, bu making it look like they are framming the OT.

Urgh, Sicilian reasoning: if someone thinks im going to do action A , maybe i should do action B, unless he thinks i know he knows that im going to do action A and that he is going to do B, in which case maybe C is the better option ... unless of course, he thinks that i may guess that he knows that i know that he knows that ... okay ive gone and lost myself
