Who are we?
I revealed quite a bit of information about myself in a previous thread. Anyone want to tell about themselves here?

I am John Davidson, no, not the has been from the 70's. Live in Kane, PA.
Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.

as far as art goes, (in deviant art for those who have accounts there)
you can tell what a person can do by their gallery
but you can tell more who that person is and what he/she likes by their favorites (I've been something of a slacker as of late, gathering favorites but not any new deviations.)
<a href="http://shyal-malkes.deviantart.com/">incidently, my D.A. account is here</a>
and through my "friends" and "being watched by" lists you can see what some of the other forumites have been doing/making
telling too much about yourself however can be dangerous on the internet.
as much fun as I have with the forumites here, the closest they know to my location (mcuh less what I look like, or personal information) thus far is my hometown and that is rather general (well ok, so if they've paid attention they should also know I live in the boonies but that's nitpicking) location.
as to why I don't start talking more about myself here? simple, I talk too much, I'd ramble and sometimes rant till you regretted posting the topic.

I still say the doctor did it....
I'm Jim, I'm 27 and I live just north of Pittsburgh, PA. I like it here.
I'm a computer geek, a gearhead and a metalhead. My political views are best described as middle of the road--I have beliefs that fall on both sides of the political spectrum, and it's difficult to pigeon-hole me into one particular set. I DO have slightly conservative leanings in most areas though. Gun control I'm generally against--I think a background check and training course should be mandatory to purchase a firearm, but otherwise as long as you're not a convicted felon or a mental patient I think if you want to concealed-carry you should be allowed. Abortion, I'm a pro-life person. (Primarily because if my parents were not pro-life, I wouldn't be here. I was, basically, an accident). As I am not a woman however, I will NEVER vote to outlaw abortion, because I can't possibly know what's going through a woman's head or heart about things like this. (I do, however, support stem-cell research. I believe far more good can come of it than bad--millions could potentially reap the benefits of this technology)
I'm also on a quest to find the country's greatest cheeseburger. That's not going so well as I'm currently a little short on cash.

My web site has... eh, some stuff. It needs a bit of updating, as I made it freshman year of college. I'm now a junior. I'm an Interdisciplinary Studies major (I love saying that - so informative, isn't it?
) at Miami University (the one in Ohio that significantly predates Florida
). My major basically involves designing my own course of study by drawing upon multiple disciplines. I have switched back and forth between a couple of things as far as what specifically want to study, but I've (pretty much) settled on looking at how philosophies can be communicated through creative writing (esp. fiction). I also considered doing a study of the structure of argument (or intellectual exchange), but I decided to switch for a number of reasons (including the opportunity to take literature and creative writing classes with the other plan
).
And yeah, I think that's where I'll stop.

I'm Joe McCauley, I'm 46 years old, white, Roman Catholic, 3 children, and I live in Normal, IL. My political views tend to favor conservatism on most issues, such as defense, the economy, and abortion, but in a few areas (e.g. environmental issues and gay rights) I tend to side with the liberals. I'm ambivalent about the death penalty, moderate on gun control and second amendment issues, and would like to see government become smaller and more efficient.
