Ralph, do you need new pens?
This latest Questor, as well as one of the strips in Nip and Tuck look to have been drawn with a much thicker pen. My feeling from it is that it doesn't look as good.
Could it be that Ralph has lost his good pen?
Let us know what types of pens you need, how much they cost, and we'll see that you get supplied with whatever artistic things you need, Ralph.

I'll pitch in
Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.

Some art software allows variable line-weight, with the pressure on the pad determining the thickness of the line in sort of the way a real pen or brush behaves. For the moment, it looks as though Ralph is restricted to one line thickness. It's OK, but I'm looking forward to seeing what happens when the kinks are worked out.

The quality really hasn't suffered that much. The Nip and Tuck strip just looked like an old one to me that'd been redone with a few new touches. I'm quite impressed he drew it solely on the computer.
As for Questor, I noticed no significant changes in the art style. I dunno if he used the wacom on it or not, but if so he's doing a very good job. There's little indication that it was done on computer instead of pen and paper.
In any case, I wish you good luck with this new "toy" of yours, Ralph. I know a lot of other webcomic artists who use one and they do very well. You might be able to increase comic production by forgoing the whole "draw and scan" step involved. 'Course, that also means ya gotta keep your computer protected, since all the strips would be on there.
=P Ah well, I'm sure you'll get better over time. And as for anthony's remark...

My dear sir, I suggest you have a little patience if you don't like Mr. Hayes little "exploration" into other media. Last time I checked, he was in charge, not you. =P So how about cutting him some slack?

I'm lost. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait. Thanks.

Still learning.
Try using a slightly narrower pen.

Maybe I should have used more smilies?
OK, it was a bad joke. I'll try to make it more obvious next time.
(Or maybe even think twice before posting them. I seem to have chronic footinmouthitis)
Anyway, sorry, it wasn't meant as the insult it ended up soundling like.

I'd suggest a TabletPC, but the *^%^@$ things are a little fragile and to *&$%* expensive. (So sayeth someone who's owned one for 1.5 years.)greatbeast wrote:(A friend of mine has one, and its very hard to "draw" one place and see the results of your "drawing" on a screen somewhere you arent working on.)
