We are NOT surrounded.....this is a "target rich" environment!
Question: Master Rillcreek said that it was either a "grade three or possibly a grade four" spell. In which direction do the grades go? The higher the grade the stronger the spell or vise versa? I.E. which is stronger, a grade one or a grade four?RHJunior wrote:It's called "mageproof" because you cannot draw ambient lux through it, and it blocks luxsight and kenning. That Quentyn can sense the sword at all is a mark of the strength of the bond.

Well, I have another one. Just how many grades are there. If there is just five than four would be pretty good. If fifteen, then not so good.

maybe silk alone couldn't block dangerous spells, but there are probably a good cloak or other article of clothingout there, designed to do just that. i'd hate to think that the best and ONLY defence was a good (no scratch that) great offence.BlasTech wrote:h i see, so the deflecting flying fireballs of doom thing isnt going to work? Still, a full body suit made of the magesilk would be great for stealth infiltration.
Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.
You'd just have to make sure all your magical weapons were fully charged before suiting up. I'd also think that the suit would have to include either a total head/face encompassing hood or a fitted headpiece like a magesilk skimask. Think "Magesilk Ninja suit".SolidusRaccoon wrote:Still, a full body suit made of the magesilk would be great for stealth infiltration.

Well that may be a problem, but it would work against the average guard/sentry who is just on regular patrol. They wouldn't be expecting anything. Unless they are activly searching for you. The magesilk should let you pass right by. Perfect for those covert ops. Or pulling off a big heist.Anthony Lion wrote:It may not work even if it's completely encompassing...
A good Kenner might notice the disturbance of the general Lux flow as whoever is dressed in the silk walks through it.

*sigh* Reminds me of the time I went to put the smack on a pack of Hondas in my '69 'Vette in GT2. "This shall teach you to mess with the power of the mighty Chevorlet 454 engine, may your four pathetic cylinders gasp in amazement as they wallow in the exhaust of a REAL CAR! Hmmm,... what is this, a turn? I guess I'd better spin the wheel.... Waaaah nothing's happening!"SCREEEEEE,...... CRASH
