I think wildcard could very well prove to be the raccona equivalantSolidusRaccoon wrote:Just a random street crime. A remote Semtex charge would solve this problem though.
shade your eyes people! 8)
Dunno why, but I believe this is anything but random.......however, I've been wrong before.SolidusRaccoon wrote:Nah just a random theif escaping into the crowd.
Okay, think about this for a moment...BlasTech wrote:Another note ... theres such a thing as mageproof silk?! so if a bad guy has a cloak of that stuff would he be invincible to lux attacks? or at least able to deflect them?
Sounds like you've tried to use "bulletproof wet newspaper".....a single sheet!StrangeWulf13 wrote:Okay, think about this for a moment...BlasTech wrote:Another note ... theres such a thing as mageproof silk?! so if a bad guy has a cloak of that stuff would he be invincible to lux attacks? or at least able to deflect them?
You're talking about blocking lightning bolts and fireballs... with a piece of silk.

If you don't mind me, I'll be on the other side of this rock while you test your little theory. =P Y'know, just in case it only prevents recharging of certain artifacts.
Yep. The faster you're going, the harder it is to turn. And Quentyn can't decelerate any quicker than he can accelerate, either. Those boots have to be pushing the coefficient of friction right to the ragged edge. I'd estimate that he's got the same acceleration as a sports car. Zero to 60 in three seconds, but he covers a distance of 135 feet in the process. It'd take him the same distance to stop once he realizes he has to, and at full speed his turn radius will be something like fifty feet. The boots are fast, but about as maneuverable as a cow on ice.maxgoof wrote:Heh....Ralph knew what I had been pondering for some time:
Mobility wins over speed, every time. It's how gazelle's escape from cheetahs despite their slower speed. Sudden turns throws the cheetah off.
Now, as long as Quentyn controls the speed of the boots, he should be able to keep up, and thus know where the sword is, even if he cannot reach it.
Well i guess they might be a bit hard to dry-cleanYou're talking about blocking lightning bolts and fireballs... with a piece of silk.

I think I'll use a dummy for the actual tests though![]()

With that, I'd like to add my theory to the pot. I think it's Nessie's brother (Colin was it?). The size and clothing certainly seems to back this up. Mostly it was the hat, it's both ragged and patched in a place. What I can't figure out is why he would try to steal it from Quentyn. I mean, he saved his sister from the Gragum.
