Well thats my thinking too, the DNA thing I meen. See my post in sword speculation to get the fuller idea.

Ps. I must give a hart felt "Holy shishcabab" to that effect you created Ralph. It is, sufice to say, very cool! How many leirs did you use to make that? Must have been a fair few, the glow effect is slightly difrent on each set of orbs.

I third that motion, and posted a thoerey to same in the speculations thread as well. However it seems that we are in the minority opinion on the subject.

Quentyn's genetics have to be in there somewhere given the bonding process involved a part of himself:

Given the complexity of the lux pattern I would hazard to guess that at the very least the sword is a mirror of Quentyn's intelligence, or is at least borderline sentient.

So a little like Torg's encharnted sword in Sluggy Freelance.. except that needs the blood of an innersent to power it..

Compare and contrast today's comic with this:

http://www.jimloy.com/fractals/dragon.gif

It's not a julia set, BTW, it a Lindenmayer System.

SOMEBODY had fun with a fractal generator!

I'm gonna guess that most lux patterns do not include infinite regression?

I think it is really beautiful. I wonder what it says so to speak. It obviously means something to Irons but what? I guess we'll have to wait and see.....

You know, it may be saying IGLOO!!!!!!!!

when i seen that colour I heard in my head a little voice saying "skittles taste the rainbow" =)
The first thing that popped into my head was "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida"

And hopefully, I'm not the only one with that song stuck in my head now.

How about George Burns singing the Beatles' "Fixing A Hole" ? (yes, it does exist)

That might be kind of hard, last time I checked he was dead.
