This is just too cute. Is this going to happen every time?

Is the there any reason why it was the highest room in the room in the the inn? It looks a little shaky...is the keeper afraid of Quentyn "containinating" the other guests? Could it be that the Innkeeper was "encouraged" to give Quentyn a sweet deal by the Guards or Council in thins for his contribution? Perhaps the innkeeper is just grateful himself. Or am I doing my usual thing of reading way too much in too things? The brownies are cool. They look tiny but tough. Also, it be nice to know what they are saying but I think RH is going to tell us. We'll see.
Nicely done RH!

Just one strip and I come up with with too many questions. Boy, I should calm down and see what happens, huh?

Just making guesses like anyone else, but I'd guess that room was cheaper than the rest because it's not a very good room... Just some add-on the owner tacked onto the top floor to handle extra customers on busy days. Quentyn thinks it's a fine room because it's so high up.
I'd imagine the Brownies are pleased with Quentyn, I but have no idea what they're telling him. If they make him their King or something, he'll have more to worry about.

Hey....cool, Quentyn's got the penthouse suite!

Quentyn might want to try and contact Colin,
quietly of course. Since the Brownies made him an honorary member of their tribe because of his ratting talents, and he has spent so much time with them, he may have at least some command and understanding of their language and could possibly act as interpreter.

I wonder.....since the Brownies are all saying the same thing in unison, are they making a declaration of thanks or loyalty or are they chanting something along the lines of "All hail the mighty destroyer of Shadow Rat Brownie killers" or similar?
Just a thought.

[...unWARP!!!]
Good evening.
Ah, yes, a nice comic to give us a topic other than the government....

(actually, I could say a LOT about governments in general, but it would only make things worse for everyone)
Now then, does Quentyn speak Brownie?

I think it is the latter.

Ahem....I would have to agree....YAAA! (Don't ask, I am feeling rather weird at the moment.)

I just noticed something.......how much time is supposed to have passed from leaving Millfolk Manor to moving into the penthouse suite of The Green Bough? The reason I'm asking is where are ANY of the bandages Quentyn was wearing earlier when he left the Manor House? Or does he heal THAT FAST???
At the very least that noched right ear should show where the fur is growing back over the suture line and the areas that had to be trimmed or shaved to facilitate some of the other repairs.
I might be picking nits here, but that's just the Medic in me asking.

I love the look on his face! Ralph always has a funny look for something like that.

That is awesome. How did you figure that out? After reading your post, I agree that that is what the brownies are saying, but I would not have come up with that on my own. Good job.

Quentyn wrote:Dear Ma and Pa, Well it's been about a week since the, um, rat thing.
That gives it about a week since the injuries.. most of which were minor, and would have healed up that quickly.. IMHO that is.. the biggest issue was bloodloss, which the body is able to recover fairly quickly, given the right materials to work with..
Dude, he's short...er...

You know, after reading all the archives (PS, RHJr please consider replacing PNGs with JPEGs- three minute load times per page ain't fun)...
... is it me, or is Quentyn aging backwards? Seems like he's become a lot shorter, younger, and bigger-headed than he started out as.
Just sayin'.

"The brounies are comming! The brownies are comming!"
Personaly I don't think the lil guy's are saying anything, they just decided to confused Quintyn by simultainusly yelling nonsence at him

About the JPGs...
Every time they move a location, be it on a server to another server, or to even another folder on the same computer, they lose quality.
Its something that irrated me to no small ammount, as I tend to move my files around monthly in futile attempts to become organized at least on my computer. My early spritecomics are pretty much gone.
PNG files do not work the same as JPG. While larger and longer to download, they're also higher quality over time, as well as actually a better quality to begin with.
Trust me, PNG is best for webcomics.

Actualy I think his appearance reflects his actions at the time, looking older and braver when he maded that mad dash at the rat king, and now he's out of dangure his aperance is back to normal, although I do admit his fore plume looks much whiter then before.
