Yo Ralph: I think you need to start looking at a TOTQ book

Ralph, I think the plotline is getting very close to where you can call "book one - to be continued" a wrap. I'm not saying end the series

just that this is a good pause point coming up for new readers of a paper version.
As I've been saying, you've done a phenomenal job keeping the artistic style and quality consistent from day one plus you haven't done any silly-but-fun "crossover" stuff such as the UTLT Schlock Mercenary thing or "guest artists" or similar.
You've got a VERY valuable property here.

Hear, hear!

I'd buy that.

It does seem like a good spot, don't it?
Well, we'll just wait and see. In the meantime, feel free to add something to the tip jar.
=P And I don't mean candy, okay?

Hmm, this would be a very logical step.

I like the idea too. Realize, however, that TotQ being in color is likely to complicate the process and result in a more expensive comic book.

Yeah. And your point is?
I think it's good enough to pull in the needed bucks. When you look at how many pages we're dealing with so far, and in color, we're talking big and expensive, $15 or more.
It can pull that in.

I'm all over any questor book Ralph puts out. I've been hoping he would for some time now. I would have a TotQ book not only for myself, but it's something I would read to my kids (when I have them of course...

).

I'd buy it right away. Is there a disk? Would it come with a disk, with special features.

Mr. Ralph, when you do come out with a Tales of the Questor book, I think you should go for the better color print quality, even if it costs more. This book will be a real treasure.

I would agree with the book thing. I would like a dead tree version suitable for reading in the recliner.

I want to buy the book, too...
Also....
http://my.opera.com/community/pondus/
I may have mentioned this comic before...
It's not very PC(Beer drinking, waking up beside VERY ugly broads the morning after the beer, a weird couple with fetishes...)
The point is that every year it is also published as a large format book (21.5 x 27.5cm), hardcover, 176pages.
The price for the first was 248NOK( about $30 - $35 depending on exchange rate) and the others weren't any cheaper.
The last one was printed in 50.000 copies, but most of those were sold as preorders, and at least 30.000 more was printed to satisfy demand.
(Not bad for a country of about 5.000.000 people)
And don't forget that all the comics were available in the newspapers, on the internet and even as a monthly magazine...
(Yes, I have the magazines, too...)
What I'm trying to say is that if the material is good enough, the fans will buy it, no matter the price
If you need preorders to start, put me down for a max of $35 + P&P for the book.

I just took a look at the publishing company that RH is using for his other book. It's an on-demand printing service. It's just a matter of having the stuff prepared.
IE: they are not going to print it unless they have someone to ship it to.
Granted, this would require RH to prepare the book..

Yes, I would say the probability is 98.215% that we will have a Questor book.

The question isn't whether or not a book will come out.
The question is, can Ralph find a mass-market publisher and get the thing in Barnes'n'Noble or whatever?
I think that's possible. But it can't happen if he self-publishes first in paper, or at least the odds go way down from what I understand. I have a friend who did a book for the "alternative small-market press" that turned into a major best-seller except there was no way that sort of small-market channel could produce enough product. Massive potential sales were just wasted that way...a real mess.

As I see it, it would have to be published through United Publications, Jarlidium Press, Plan Nine or a similar outfit.
The big publishers probably won't touch it as it's unfamiliar work, or if they DO publish it, they'll market it to the wrong audience...
(Small children... )
What would be nice, though, was if it could be published through The Raccoon's Bookshelf
(
http://www.raccoons-bookshelf.com) but I don't think Mike has any colour printing capacity...
