Heh. You trying out for a post on the bad guy's squad or something?
Re: Goat shoes. Draft oxen are cloven-hooved and I believe they -were- shoed; it's a matter of beefing up an animal's feet for load-carrying rather than the shape of the foot. If the Raconnans use goats for draft animals, they might very well shoe them.

Wouldn't take kindly to it? If he tried that around Kathryn, he'd never have to worry about being caught womanizing again if he's lucky. She will invent new ways of hurting him, if need be, but he will not walk away the same person. (I daresay far less anatomically complete.Mjolnir wrote:Don't forget Kathryn. Ya might wanna keep him from singin' that anywhere near Rayne and Adam when they're together. He might suddenly find the former Guardman's fist down his throat, trying to yank out his vocal cords.

Underestimate? No. I'm just very, very tired of females overestimating themselves. The time of the Women's Rights Movement is over. Now everything's the men's fault.Aurrin wrote:You assume he could do that beforehand. Don't be too quick to underestimate the fairer sex - they can be the most deadly of all!
*nods* I agree with you wholeheartedly on that. (I am also a man, in case it wasn't readily obvious.) I just wanted to point out that thinking you're inherently faster/more dangerous is a good way to lose something very near and dear, especially around Kathryn. So don't try to put the moves on her.

Well of course I'm not going to...Aurrin wrote:I just wanted to point out that thinking you're inherently faster/more dangerous is a good way to lose something very near and dear, especially around Kathryn. So don't try to put the moves on her.
And besides, Leon's his own self now. I just created him. He's a living, breathing creature as far as I'm concerned. I can't control him, I can only let his story be spoken through my hands.
Sorry, that wasn't intended as being deceptive or anything. 99% of the time I play a male character in RPGs, so I decided it was time to mix it up a little and try something new.DragonMasterHawk wrote:Eh heh...nyope.Aurrin wrote:(I am also a man, in case it wasn't readily obvious.)

Ok, just to note; I've handed controle of Typhea to StrangeWolf. Her position in the plot is still in my hands, however her primary actions/reactions will be dictated by Wolf.
Though out the Rp I'll be asking cirtain people for help with the controle of 'The twelve' and the cult members asosiated with them. If I was the only one to controle them it would make for extreamly dull Rp, especialy in later sceans. Anyone who's willing to take on a 'bad guy' charctor (even if they are to be short lived, in the litteral sense) please do say now so that I have a good idea who I can count on for back-up

Ooo, interesting. I'll throw my name in the hat, too. My villain resume includes a long time (It's been, lessee...over twenty years?!? Where'd the time go?) running games face-to-face and online. My bad guys don't usually do the maniacal laugh, they're more likely to be quiet masterminds; and most of them -have- read the Evil Overlord List.Astral wrote:Ok, just to note; I've handed controle of Typhea to StrangeWolf. Err right... Dragon, the group is curently upstairs ^_^ could you do me a mega favour and post this after Kerry or wolf have posted. Then we can move back into the bar and you can just repost that last IC without haveing to make any eddits. It'll still fit, it's just the post order that needs tweeking. Thanks
P.s. is your charactor actualy kenning Rayne in your last post or just sensing his aura? I don't know what range Kenning has but either way Ralph said that even the mage-blind can 'feel' when their beeing kenned so I need to know.

That's the effect I was going for, Astral. From RH's description, it sounded to me like kenning people was just as natural as shaking a person's hand, that, though they may feel it, it's more ambiguous of a thing than not, and they're used to it by now.RHJunior wrote:Another minor note: someone's going to notice if your character doesn't ever use lux, or if he doesn't use kenning or magesight when prompted... and remember, rac conans use small piddly spells all the time, and as casually as you or I would tie our shoes.... to tie their shoes. or to brush off dust or mud, or re-warm their cold mug of tea, or to shoo insects, or stir a pot of soup... granted, they may assume he's one of the rare magically handicapped--- luxblind, or the like. But if he pleads ignorance, that will definitely rouse suspicion.
Now Rayne himself might be different. I can only assume that, if/when he feels the kenning, he wouldn't have a clue what it was. He may ask about it, which would really arouse suspicion.
And, specifically, I was emulating what the Frog Mage did to Nessie just before the Mudgullet attacked. It looked to me like that was a very amateurish spell, nothing a regular Joe like Leon couldn't do.
And...dangit. I knew I'd miss some little detail like that. I always seem to. I'll move it in about...three and a half hours, hopefully.

Well I'm unsure of the lagistics of kenning, like I said it could be limited by range and maby its more polight to examin a persons aura rather then probe them with kenning. I don't know though so maby ralph could shed some light on this? That's the effect I was going for, Astral. Kenning is definatly an everyday spell by the sound of things but the level of detail is difrent acording to peoples experiance level, at least thats the imression I got. Unless your charactor is a mage himself I doubt he could 'Kenn' with the level of detail that the frog mage could. Pluss if you remember he actualy told the kit it would feal strange, not something he'd have to do if kenning was as normal as a handsake.DragonMasterHawk wrote: And, specifically, I was emulating what the Frog Mage did to Nessie just before the Mudgullet attacked.
