The Investigation so far...

(Thread title ripped off from ads on one cable network's showing of "Law & Order".)

Just to sum up the bits an pieces we've seen so far and look for some sort of pattern (something Quentyn should do, too):

1. A kit is having "night terrors".
2. Normal "night terrors" are from awakening lux abilities.
3. The parents can't make these go away like normal ones.
4. The images seem to be of giant rats.
5. The kit used to hunt rats.
6. The family went from well-off to wealthy.
7. The house is warded.
8. There's apparently no way to sneak into the room. (The standard basis of a locked room mystery.)
9. There are lux "brownouts" going on.
10. The local brownies are gone.
11. Lux-based sewer line pumps are regularly clogging.

What have I missed?

What patterns are emerging?

I wonder if the brownouts have a negative effect on the warding system?
Or perhaps this plus the weather report is just forshadowing so it doesn't count as hackneyed (sp?) when "It was a dark and storm night,... then all the lights went out...."... wait... just a second"...and then the sewer backed up"?!?! Ok, probably not that last part, but given Quentin's luck anything is possible.

It will be interesting to see just what effect this thunderstorm will have on the luxflow and drainage system this this corner of town. If this is the only area of town that's having these problems........!
