Oooookay. I guess that's a first for me. =P Thread topic now banned. Oh well, I guess next time I feel like making a damn rant I'll go to my Live Journal (which is currently collecting dust and cyber cobwebs) instead of here. Even though, in a sense, it was kinda relative, it probably wasn't the best place to put it, though we did get something of a discussion moving.
*sigh* I only wish to discuss these things, not argue them. The problem is that there are many who will, as Ralph said, ignore all evidence and continue believing whatever they wish. Remember the Wizard's First Rule? Take it to heart.
In any case, I will be keeping my eye on the Intelligent Design movement as it develops. I think it'll prove to be a very interesting theory indeed.
=P Now lock this thread, Ralph, before some idiot starts the "debate" up again.

I'm lost. I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait. Thanks.

I won't start it up again, but I'll say this: that little debate made me want to find out more about the whole "evolution vs creation" debate, and that's what I did yesterday. I've found reasonable information for both sides of the debate, as well as damning evidence for both sides as well.
All I have to say is this: search for "Evolution" and "Creation Science" on Yahoo, look up the responses, and make your own damn mind about the subject. God gave you a brain and free will, so use them both.

Some of us may not agree with RHJ on the questions of origins. Some of us who don't may be tempted to try to counterpoint his last two posts before locking the thread. But I think most of us agree by now this topic is one that can easily get out of control.
And none of this changes my opinion that RHJ draws three of the best webcomics on the net.

Hear, hear! Didn't I warn folks about that? A dangerous topic, indeed. And I agree with the rest of it, too. Keep up the good work, RH!mwalimu wrote:Some of us may not agree with RHJ on the questions of origins. Hello everyone. My roommate moved out recently, and the internet connection was under his name, so I've been away from this website for a few days. (I'm at the library now. Hurray for libraries!) Boy, I didn't know a forum could get so active all of a sudden!
I think that an occasional argument is good. It keeps life from being dull, and it shows that we're not all robots. However, I think it's good to change topics before someone gets lux-flamed.
So, here's a controversial topic for us to talk about:
What is the best-tasting flavor of icecream?
