I was just looking through the Utukki archives, and.. is it just me, or did Erik's mom die at just about the right time to make her the previous incarnation of Brittany? I mean, no date is given, but its possible.. since apparantly she's been dead for some time, and Erik is Brittany's age if not older (he's a HS senior, Brittany seems younger than that) Now, that's either an amazing leap of logic, or old-time readers are going to laugh and say, "no crud, sherlock" .. but tis worth a shot.

Actually, if you read the profiles page, you'll see that Brittany and Eric are the same age. Good instinct, though.

Brittany and Erik the same age, hm? Well, Kulitta's been trying to unseal Ki, right? Right. What if Ki's last host was slain at the same time Kulitta's last host was? Where would the seal send Ki, do you suppose?

Some of your assumptions are factually incorrect, but it's stuff we haven't covered yet so I can't site it. Hmmm... This is why most admins don't get involved in speculation threads in their forums, isn't it? I'm new to the whole forum thing, and just generally slow on the uptake, but I think I understand now.

I've been thinking about this, and I keep coming back to the blurb in the story section. Specifically the line "Most especially, the demon himself, who is no longer the creature he once was... "

Erik's not the demon. Krista and Michelle have said that specifically. And yet, he's the focus. Which means someone else, some close to him is the demon.

Who does that leave? His mother's last words to him seem to implicate his father, after all, the line in question implies that the demon is awake already. But if that's the case, then the seal has been broken already. Which Ishtar would have no doubt felt. If not, and the father is in the dark, how did the mother find out? My instinct says no.

Erik's Younger Brother: A possibility, particularly if Erik is to be a protector. But that doesn't fit either. While mischevious as Ki, it just feels wrong. Again, my instinct says no.

Who else? Why the line, "creature he once was" implies a change in gender. Women, as every man knows, are a wholly different species.

But again. Who? Mel? It would certainly would be funny. But there's too many Yaoish implications in that. Depending on your taste for Yaoi, this is good or bad. My instinct says no, but only because to my knowledge, Krista has written no Yaoi previous to Utukki.

Of course, now's a good time as any to start. . .

However, assuming this is not a Yaoi (thus disappointing the entire female readership) that leaves: Tristan. Her parent's dual interest in the Supernatural is a natural metaphysical draw. Her complete disinterest in the Supernatural could be a manifestation of the Seal. After all, if she stays away from the magical arts, then chances are, she won't break the seal on herself.

Of course, now that I've said all that, we'll be thrown a curve ball and left saying; "Dangnabit! We shoulda seen that coming!"

All this speculation is making me itch to hurry up and draw the story so the truth will be revealed, and we can see who, if anyone, is right and/or wrong.

I believe there will be a vast demonic uprising. The demons will be naked as jaybirds and gunning for the fully-clothed humans in their massive soul-culling, so all the characters will have to dress down to the bare essentials to avoid detection - especially Brittany, even thought that doesn't make sense.

At least, I hope this happens.

Tristan being Ki reborn, would be an interesting idea, but I know that when you have one psi-tuned parent, you either grow up to be a strong believer, or you try to debunk everything, or oddly both.
Tristan mentioned Marks, which makes me believe that her mother uses her powers to make some money, either from home, or through a shop. Psychic powers tend to be unreliable on their consistency, [kinda like when the next comic is coming along... ] but when you learn a certain amount of body language from real moments, you can fake it, by pulling out the comon factors in facial expressions, or how they position thier body. Are they leaning forward, with intrest or leaning back, as a skeptic? Body language is probably the hardest one to explain because each culture comes up with it's own guide to how to move one's body...

I think as far as the theories go, I want to stay in my dilussions that maybe , just maybe, Ki stayed sealed in some long forgotten place, and just watched the world around him. Repented? mebe. Got really ticked? sweet ^_^

He could, going along with the whole being sealed *in* someone, just be their energy force, and have no idea who he is (obviously) But, my question is this. If he is being reincarnated again and again, wouldn't that *tehcnically* be breaking the seal, seeing how he is free and such? Ofcourse it could be like a mind trap thingy from Wheel of Time, where their soul is trapped but they are allowed somewhat free will.


Another question If Ki is roaming around inhabiting a body, wouldn't that make the seal wherever he is? Or simply on the spiritual plane? Because if he is not particularly near the seal's focal point, he would most likely, in my opinion, be drawn to it.

Just some thoughts. Keep in mind its late at night so they might not make a lot of sense ^_^
