Snakes are gooood!
The one I held in Sturgis was pretty cool, but I honestly wouldn't want one that big anyway, cuz
1. I've grown fond of the cat.
2. Have child relatives.
3. I've grown fond of BJ.

Specifically, baby ball pythons.
No guarantees, but all indicators at the moment point to a clutch of eggs sometime in January, and then baby snakes in April. (Don't ask what indicators - believe me, you don't want to know).

Still interested, Joey? They won't get as big as the one at Sturgis, but the adult female I have is pretty darn hefty (4+ feet and heavier than Lundie, er Catball), and they're a helluva lot easier to take care of than the biggies.

Let me know - I'll make sure to set one aside for ya.
And sometime when we can all work it out, you guys have to come over again so we can talk, have monster pancakes at Julie's, be terrorized by Lexi, and you can see the NEW snakes I've picked up, as well.
SOON!
Later,

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeggs!
Man, the switchover to phpBB really nuked the post order in some of these forums...ANYWAY!
Last night my female ball python, Samantha, laid seven eggs. They're in the incubator as we speak, and as soon as they hatch, one of them is yours, Joey! I'm guessing September, but considering that she was FIVE MONTHS LATE in laying them, I could be wrong. Sufficed to say, once they've hatched, fed, and shed, you get to come take your pick. YAY!
