If this is the beginning of Coleman Elementary, it's certainly getting things off with a bang... or rather, after one... but at least they're married in this series, IIRC.
OTOH, if it's canon TS: Well, shit.
- Oh, I can see Liza explaining this to the school administrators.
- Darron had better start running now if he wants to get away from Liza's father and (ex?)-husband. This probably holds true even for CE, actually.
Or am I missing something?

Well I don't see a ring on either of their left hands, so my guess is that they've been having pre-marital hanky panky, and Liza was using the rhythm method.
You know what they call women who use the rhythm method of birth control?
Mommy.
Either way, it looks like a rather fun storyline coming up! Prop baby's gonna have some company!

I won't give away too much here, but just to clarify for the 'peeps who didn't read CE last year, CE is a bit different that TS. It's set a little bit forward in Darron and Liza's relationship (obviously), and some of the characters have different jobs. Other than that, though, it's the same characters.
As for Liza's husband in TS, don't worry about him. At least, not until TS picks up again in late fall.

A ceramics minor? How useful.
