So they had a "Free Doughnuts" sign set up for situations just such as that?
The manager looks a little too pleased with himself in the last panel. Who wants to bet the doughnuts are laced with something? Arsenic? Ex-Lax?

I sort of doubt that the "free donuts" sign was specifically for deflecting an attack by an incompetent strike force, but hey, whatever works!
As for the donuts themselves, the only thing they're laced with is yumminess.
