Das kinda creepy...
Hehe! I love today's comic. It had me giggling for a good minute or so. ^_^

ooh! floating disembodied heads!
i know you've got the whole 'spontaneous appearance through thought invocation' thing going, but should they really be directly interacting? :p
usually they only do that if one is hitting the other over the head with a mallet... ^_^
nah, we're not dead. i'm busy being a new grad student and dealing with the tail end of moving. i could post messages about how it took 3 days for usc to activate my &%(@!$ parking permit or learning about the set of 'surreal numbers' [yes, there is a set of ordered n-tuples called 'surreal'], but people probably aren't interested in such things. it'd go in my blog, but i don't have one 'cause i don't have a homepage... [yup, i'm lame]
ah, well. hopefully more people will return when summer activities also bring people back from vacations or into school computer labs/networks with much faster connections.
btw - $700 a term for community college?!? it's $11 a unit in california! well, in los angeles at least...

You can get a blog without having a homepage, Flurf.. It'll just be set on blogspot. ^_^ Like my blog used to be at eto.blogspot.com until I moved it to my own space which Shirt Chick Rai graciously provides.
And yeap... $62.10 per credit up to 10 credits, then $6.17 for each additional credit up to 18 credits. Don't ask me why... It's just how it goes. -_- Not to mention the $20 fee for Japanese and $30 technology fee, which just puts more friggin' macs in my school...

yowza!
college ain't cheap up there, is it? kinda gives you more incentive to schlep off to a private university and apply for stafford loans...
then again, i'm atrociously shocked at how much the stuff at usc costs. since i'm a grad student, the department pays for all my classes [heh, heh ^_^], but from what i understand it's ~$900 per unit with each class being 3 units times 4 classes. that's ~$10,000 per semester!
then there's the &(*!@%# bookstore - the textbook i had to buy for my summer 'math boot camp' class [which lasts all of 2 weeks] is $120! and their return policy - 2 days after purchase only. never buy books from the university bookstore - they totally rip you off!
say, eto - does the bookstore you work for give good discounts on special order textbooks? ^_- or should i just go wander on amazon.com?
