I'd say some freeky alien face hugging evil thing, but that's too obvious. So instead, I believe it to be the reincarnated spirit of all-knowing muscle-man and spiritual leader Fabio.I mean, look at it. It's large...esqe... and it's blond... What more proof does one need?------------------

Personally, I think it's a physical manifestation of pure love. Sort of a multi-legged version of Cupid's Arrow. Now MacGuyver is going to fall in love with the first person he sees. Unless he already fell in love with Dave and just hasn't realized it yet.
