*ahem* ok. the Z-man poses the query about the identity of Iris. i'd like to pose a slightly different question....an invitation for speculation, unless the Z-man would like to enlighten us all.....but what does everyone see as the main theme of Makeshift? or are we even far enough into it to pick up on that yet? or is it blatantly obvious and i'm asking a silly question?
my opinion is that the whole idea of unfulfilled wishes is going to play a central part in all of this.
*inclines an ear to the audience* comments? snide remarks? anybody?
------------------

I think it's more dreams in general Tar Baby, whether they be unfulfilled or not.

Damn... I want to type so much, trust me... but don't want to wreck things for later.
It's a coming of age story, that much is stated on the main page. Growing up and seeing what the future has in store is a normal process of becoming an adult... the difference in Makeshift Miracle is that those dreams and desires are more literal or more surreal in their presentation.
Take from that what you will. That's not really explaining the theme or giving away a lot, but gives you a bit more to hang on to.
------------------

When one grows up, there are only two ways for ones childhood dreams to go;
Give them all up, in favor of a much more empty, but mature, life...
Or, you grasp those dreams, and try to fulfill them.
It is my belief that we can be anything, so the second option should be preferrable
[This message has been edited by krank (edited 01-21-2002).]
