Yes, he probably did.<P>Even so, it took me about 2 minutes to certify that it's high on the BS factor, though.<P>I still say it's got something to do with dreams.

Yes, it's true krank. While it may seem intriguing at first glance, my theory just doesn't hold up to scrutiny. Yet...

Well, all I know is, it looks like Blake's in prime condition to be seduced by the dark side. Whatever that dark side may be.

I really like what's going on now... Especially as it does confirm some of my theories...<P>One thing is for certain, though; it was well worth the wait!<p>[This message has been edited by krank (edited 01-22-2002).]

Is it just me, or does Esurio look like the sort of guy who got beat up a lot as a child?<P>"Nice cape, Esurio!" (Push! Esurio eats dirt.) "Ha-ha! Dork!"<P>As to the theory thing, I've been making a point of not theorizing about this at all. I'm just enjoying the ride. There will be no "I-told-you-so"s or "But-I-thought-she-was"s from this dude.<P><P>------------------

I'm not sure if I like this guy Esurio... I think it's because he looks a bit too much like a regular comic-book type. He looks like he could be fighting X-men or something.

*big smile*<P>Of course, it could just be someone's dream having come through... Children dream of comicbooks heroes a lot... *I seem to remember I did, anyways*<P>I can hardly wait for the next strip, let alone the next chapter...<P>
BTW, do robots dream of electric sheep?

hmmm.....not sure what this guy is exactly, but I don't think he's the one from the broken phone (I could easily be wrong, but I think the guy who talked to Colby on the phone and the horned being who found Colby's backpack are different entities.......and this dude does have horns...of a sort)<P>'course I'm REALLY curious about how all this stuff works out <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif">

Well, well, well...<P>I'm not sure if I like this guy Esurio... I think it's because he looks a bit too much like a regular comic-book type. He looks like he could be fighting X-men or something.<P>As of his origins, I strongly believe that he might be the one on the other side of the phone. If Jim is predictable, he is a dreamtraveller of some sort (fitting neatly into my previous theory). Admittedly, he is a bit dissapointing. I was hoping for something more... original.<P>*hm*<P>Well, who am I to pass judgement. The above states what I feel right now, but Jim has never disappointed us so far, now has he?

*just realized that my manners have run away, probably never to return*<P>Whatever, I'm Krank *shake hand* Yes, that's my real name.<P>Greek myths, hmmm? Interresting. Might be, might be... Greek mythology sure is a mighty Dreambringer...<P>Since none of you probably know what a Dreambringer is: A Dreambringer is, quite obviously, something or someone who brings dreams. If I say that the dragon in 'Bilbo' is a Dreambringer, I mean that said dragon is a part of the dreams of many. In the above context, my meaning is simply that having read said mythology, one is more inclined to dream of it.<P>Of course, if you check my Dreamtheory a few posts up, you realize that Dreambringers should be tarher powerful in the Dreamrealm...

I believe that Esurio represents a consortium of super-powered beings that has become aware of the fact that Iris has been giving away her miracles for free and wants to introduce her to a scheme by which she would charge a small monthly fee to provide Colby with miracles.<P>Will Colby pay to continue receiving miracles, or will he leave Iris to find another free miracle server?<P>Suspense...<P>Huh? What? Why is everybody looking at me like that?<P>------------------

Well, my theory goes like that. But that's just me. I say that Esurio is either a) a creature from the Dreamworld who is increasing his own power by showing himeslf in the real world or b) he's a 'watcher' of some sort, trying to make sure no other Dreams (like Iris) gets through the Barrier...<p>[This message has been edited by krank (edited 02-12-2002).]

My theory is that Iris isn't even tied into the tree or Esurio for that matter. I think that the tree, Iris, and Esurio are all simply manifestations of Colby's mind. Colby has some sort of gift that allows him to distort reality, although he doesn't know that he has this gift. His subconcious just sort of brings to the surface what ever he's thinking about out.

Support:
1. Iris feel from the sky when he was looking at it.
2. When Colby wished he was home, he simply appeared there.
3. Colby's dreams of an empty telephone booth - combined with the voice on the broken telephone - bring to life Esurio, who's forehead looks strangely like a rotary dial.
4. Iris hasn't a clue as to what's going on, because it's not her doing, it's Colby's. That's why she has no past - she was created on the spur of the moment.
5. Colby's unconciously looking for an exit from the troubles his life has, so his mind creates a tree that he climbs down with almost no hesitation. Note that it didn't open up until he stood in front of it. Once again, Iris had nothing to do with the creation of the tree.
6. The letters in the alphabet soup are a small sample of Colby's telekenetic powers. Note that he questions reality, and "Am I OK?", not if everything around him is OK. The problem his mind is trying to deal with is in himself.
7. Colby's powers affect not only himself, but other people around him, as in the case of Blake. Secretly, Colby's calling in life is to help others reach their lost goals (although he doesn't know it yet), as in the case of Esurio telling Blake how he can achieve his, and Blake's brief vision of being a king (and without glasses mind you :->).

I wonder if there is secret meaning behind "Esurio". Spelled backwards, it is "oiruse", which might be a pun on "Our use", showing that Colby's mission in life is to bring to reality the dreams of other people.

Any of this sound legite?

Piano Guy, I think you've just espoused the best theory thus far.

Note also that Iris collapses as soon as Colby leaves the room.
Of course, I'm the one that isn't JP Sloan or Jim North.
