So far, I've managed to change the background colour to a Boxjammish blue, but that's not very much, and not fair to the mighty Boxjam. His blue is better, too.

I'm guessing that before folks start pitching random ideas, it might be a good idea to know what you have in mind.

Are you looking for:<ol><li>Something Classic Superhero-ish?
the strip looks like it belongs in a comic book, so are you looking for a site that compliments it? If so, the trick will be to make the navigation obvious, but still part of the display.
<li>Something Simple?
I'm guessing that you probably don't want a screen full of flash modules, right? well, how big should the total page size be? Right now the page is at about 70K (not counting the strip) and 237K with the strip. If your bandwidth allocation is 8GB, that means you can serve a maximum of 33,685 drooling fans a month.
(to give a comparison, <a href="http://www.grayhoundchronicles.com">The Grayhound Chronicles</a> is about 66K meaning I can serve 120,674 folks a month max, in theory. In reality, I host <a href="http://www.unitedheroes.net">several sites</a> and my own little ad service off that server, so the number is a lot less, but still not an issue)
<li>Short?
I'm guessing that most folks that hit this site run at 1024x768. Do you want the most important stuff at the top or do you want to have folks scroll the screen? Everything at the top is nice for the users, but making them scroll gives you a bit more "real estate" to work with. It's a tricky call.
<li>Do you have any vague ideas you want to work with?
Chances are, you probably do. I presume you want to keep the round logo buttons, news section and other bits. Are there any sections you want to add?

Hmm. My dream site would be short, simple, and easily updated. Kind of like our current site, dammit. But times move on...

Keenspace, alas, requires that there be 'tags' in our main page for Autokeen to work, so before you invested any time in this I'd suggest you view the page code and pay special attention to anything that looks like ***this*** because it usually launches an all-important ad or bit of script through Autokeen.

Other than that, the sky's the limit. My ideal is a simple nav bar down the left side using the current buttons, the logo at the top, the comic to the right of the nav bar, and the usual blather below the comic.

But I'm boring that way.

Thanks a million for the help offer. I'm a caveman with a little HTML knowledge, which is not unlike Vanilla Ice being a White Rapper with Street Knowledge. Except that he may have had more street knowledge than I have HTML knowledge, which is pretty goddamn scary.

Well, my first lame attempts are available for perusal

<a href="http://www.unitedheroes.net/manman/index.html">The First</a> uses your graphics but tightens things up a bit. I reverted to the black background because the graphics have black borders around them.

<a href="http://www.unitedheroes.net/manman/index1.html">The Second</a> I redid your graphics and gave them a lighter background as well as the page itself.

I may try a few others but let me know if you think the page is too crowded.

Also, looking at the source, I don't see any special tags. I'm guessing that's to be expected since Keenspace is probably stripping them out.
I made a few guesses about where those tags might go, and I don't think that they should be a problem.

I've got the nav. menu as a single image to save space and bandwidth right now.

I've got another idea that I hinted at earlier. Basically the Total Comicbook treatment, but it will probably involve redoing most of the graphics. Is that a problem?
