I have noticed similarities in "God is my room mate" and the later issues of Spork.

Aha! No luck with Google, but typing in spork.keenspace.com leads to "A God's Life," which actually looks pretty darn cool. At last -- another way to spend my afternoon! Huzzah!

Oh, wait, there IS a comic called "Spork" interspersed with AGL.

And yes, the resemblence recently has been...uncanny. Good thing GIMR started long, long before the "God Is My Roommate" thing in Spork, or I'd worry that people would think I'm ripping Spork off.

Whether or not the Spork guy is worried, I don't know...

I'm going to have to start a Links section called `irrefutable proof that James and I aren`t really all that original.` There's this guy, the other GooGooPlex that Mike Leffel pointed out to us (not called GooGooPlex) and those other Conan O'Brian and kids' cartoon Man-Man incarnations.

I forumed the Spork guy and he says it`s all a big coincidence, and I believe him...it's all just coincidental. Weird, tho.

On a more realistic note:
Actually I've never ripped off anyone without telling them first... (like the cameos). I just hope others would be just as kind to us... or give us money for it... lots of money!
