$60.45 in "brokerage fees" to get a $100 coffee machine delivered from Massachusetts? And $37 of that IS JUST THE "SERVICE CHARGE?
WHAT THE FUCK?
------------------

Yeesh Matt. I thought you only drank coffee from your precious French press.
But then UPS is seriously evil. But only slightly more evil than good ol' Canada Post.
Guess who?

If UPS doesn't tack on these charges, the terrorists will have won.
Why import a coffeemaker from the US? Did it have some strange superpower that Canadian coffeemakers lack?
/ck1

------------------

See, as a Mail-Man all I can do is laugh at your folly, you little Canadian Boob. UPS sucks balls. I had to use them a few weeks ago, and believe me, for a United States Postal worker to use UPS is like a Jew who decides to believe in Jesus as the Messiah. Anyhoo, they don't seem to ever come when you're home, on top of that, they were send my stuff back if I wasn't home the third time. I was gonna be forced to pick it up at the nearest hub, which is 55 fucking minutes away! Use the Mail man.
------------------

One time I got a package from UPS and HALF THE BOX WAS MISSING.
There were also markings all over the tape that was inside it.
I also get art stuff in the mail sometimes and the packages will always have large tears or huge chunks of the envelope torn off.

This may seem bizarre and far-fetched, but if you are planning to order a large number of American kitchen appliances, it would be cheaper to get a PO Box in Vermont and hitch a ride down every once and a while.
Convoluted in theory, but in practice... if you get stuff

If you'd be willing to compromise, like say Minnesota, then maybe we can work something out.

Well, the "squeaky wheel gets the grease" approach of complaining to the company didn't work... and I don't do enough PO orders to really warrant a mailbox in Vermont. If you HAVE one that I can borrow from time to time or want to share one...fellow Townshippers... there's some potential there...
- Uncle Smugglin' Matt
------------------
