Hrm. I should probably start compiling a FAQ. Anyway, here goes:
1) Sirrus wasn't created by Mara, but was placed in a situation in which he could kill her due to her subconscious desire to quit being God. He escaped from the bottle
here, into the corpse of the original sacrificial victim. Then he ran. What happened to him afterwards is briefly alluded to
here (the top portion is his conception, the bottom portion after he left
Florida).
2) Correct, Thera is actually Hel, Incarnate of Death. The current storyline is going to go into a bit more depth on this. As for Dr. Landers, the only hint I'm giving is that Jack's full name is Jack Kluggman, and that he's adopted. And to maybe check the first week of strips.
3) I'll say this: Thera's going off in search of more than just her own past.
4) Yep. And Sirrus isn't quite dead. He's just not entirely alive, either.
Hoped that helps, some.
- Matt

Um...
1) Sirrus, the demon (once) attached to Jack, is the same demon that was created by Mara in a (failed) attempt to end her existence. *short* can't tell how he got from "removed from Jack" to "fighting Mara" or vice versa as the case may be. Very little in the archives *short* completely different appearance; certainly the cybernetic thingys don't LOOK like his bottle.
2) Thera is also known as Hel, the Incarnate of Death, and other assorted things which imply great power *short* does not normally manifest outward signs of such power *short* no previous mention of a "Dr. Lander" *short* *sys err crit 1: mem fail: sys reset* Because of these, she is of great concern to "those whom we would call gods" in this place.
3) Jack apparently has protections that would not look out of place protecting, say, the Wiccan or Satanic equivalent of the Vatican, assuming such existed *short* no indication of how such wards came into being; possibly they were created by Sirrus during their time together, or possibly Jack was born with them and they were one of the reasons the original summoning failed.
4) Now Jack and Thera are out playing mercenary, while Sirrus is dead/somewhere else *short* original plotline (good conscience/bad conscience) is gone.
Did I get this all right?
------------------
Crewman: "Sir! An enemy ship is approaching! Can't scan its defenses!"
Captain: "Very well... ARM PHASE CANNON!"

I don't know... it looked pretty consistent to me-the explanations and references seem to be spread pretty evenly throughout, and the current storyline seems to tie up a few gaps in logic in the earlier ones.
Maybe it's just that the source material's probably the sort of stuff I read...
------------------

Still, before starting Strange Daze, the only experience I had with writing was a couple of short stories from a creative writing class back in High School. I can definitely see how someone could get lost while reading. Partly it's due to me keeping the truth behind the character's pasts close to my chest, revealing bits and peices here and there. But there are some things that are just due to me not being clear enough in my storytelling. So it goes ...
- Matt

Hey, Matt, I had lots of experience with writing-and no chops at all art-wise.
You've developed your writing skills faster than I've become a decent artist, congratulate yourself.
------------------
