Which is to say, are we still in flashback mode? Is this Sirius before he was imprisoned in Jack's beer, or is this Sirius after he possessed Graves? He speaks like the more recent, been-to-see-the-Mad-Gods Sirius, so would I be right in assuming we're back in the "present"?

Nah, he's always talked like that, and before the beer he was stuck in the chains.

I think we've actually... flashed forward quite a bit. A decade or more. Because I'm guessing the book Nyarlathotep left with Sirrus was the Codex, and at some point he hooked up with the church guy here.

I wonder if the Codex is the book that Nyarlathotep keeps leaving around for people to find. You know, like here. That book said "de Vermis Mysteriis" but since the Desaulian Codex changes its contents to suit each owner, and this book was "everything we were looking for" maybe...?

If N sequestered some copies of it in his own space, this might explain how some of them escaped Heaven's campaign to destroy them.

Still in the past: this is inbetween the destruction of the Beach Cult and the assassination attempt on Narrator. More likely than not, I'm going to rearrange the archives so that it is placed correctly (so as to try and minimize any more confusion from this particular plotline).

Ah, so this is before Graves get's the body, and before Sirrus got 'caught' by the NWO and turned into the killing machine. Gotcha.

Of course, this still leaves what Sirrus has been up since we last saw him a mystery. Oh dear.

On the other hand, now hopefully we'll finally find out how exactly Graves got into that body, which I've wondered about for a long time.
