Actually, I'm switching back and forth between lurking and schoolwork. :D

Not bad. Finished my last class, so I'm now free for the weekend. Bracing myself leave the computer lab and science hall, into the outside where it is currently snowing (not enough to stick to the ground, of course, but still it's the first time this winter I've seen any snowflakes).

Huh. I've got almost two feet of stable ground cover out here, if you want some snow. Be more than happy to box some up for ya.

Yeah, weekend will be nice, 'cept I get to watch the kids because my wife has to work. And they're both sick. Ah well. Monday they get to go to daycare, my wife works, and I stay home and clean the basement. Which isn't as bad as it sounds - once clean, I have a ton of new shelving and a new workbench (the first actual 'work bench' I've ever owned) to install.

So, fun.

Thank you, no. I prefer to get my frozen water the way nature intended, out of a refridgerator or an ice machine.

Mm. Some sickness seems to be making the rounds down here, as well. Both my room-mates have contracted it, so I assume it's just a matter of time till I get it, as well. Hope the kids get to be feeling better.

Re: Workbench : I remember using my Dad's workbench back when I was younger. Actually made a decent bookcase, too. Never had a basement, though (well, the current place I'm living at has one, but I don't make use of it). Anyway, time to go grab some lunch, and face the wrath of Old Man Winter. (Okay, more like Vaguely Pre-Teenish Man Winter, but it still wrath, of a sort!)

Heh, more like the Temper Tantrum of winter, if you ask me. ;) Want some wrath? Check out the weather stats for Resolute, Nunavut, Canada. THERE'S some wrath. :)

So, when ya gonna read, critique, rework, and rewrite my novel fragment?

Read: This weekend. Critique, Rework, and Rewrite? Dunno. Maybe after a couple more years of getting my own writing abilities up to a sufficient standard, I'll be able to offer advice to another person. Beyond that, I can only offer a single sage bit of learning I myself have taken to heart:

Everything's better with a monkey.

You know, I'd lurk less and post more around here if I didn't think my posts needed to say something vaguely interesting and intelligent. Kind of like what this post does not do.
And I dispute the monkey thing. Unless they are unnaturally smart monkeys, and then whats the difference with a human?

In rebuttal, I would just like to say this...

Look over there! A three-headed monkey!
