I notice that the artwork in the last couple of strips is really, uhh, detailed and
artistic. Particularly the pics of the Great C in the
August 5th strip.
Really rather nice.

Heh. If I'd known that tinting the strips in photoshop would have such an effect, I'd have done it from the start. It even makes the file size smaller!
And I have this subconscious thing going on where if I enjoy what's going on in the comic (especially if it's something new) I give the art a lot more time and /or effort.
Anyway, I guess what I'm really trying to say here is thanks. I'm glad you liked it. I wish there was more where that came from.

Next on TCoW: Francis shacks up with Eve, but how does Joe feel? Meanwhile, Freddie, Walter and Nyarlathotep team up to fight crime in a post-apocalyptic future. I don't know what happens with Bob and Greg. Maybe they elope to Canada or something.
