*Ack. Tried to check WIGU while writing this and it opened up in this window, wiping what I was writing. WIGU was still down too. Sigh.*
Thank you very much for linking to us. I usually check the TCoW logs a couple times every day, especially the referals so I noticed it when you linked to us. Of course I visited!
When are you planning to get Dreaming Against Noon up and running? It looks like it has potential. (Sweet Baby Cthulhu! You mean that somebody actually explored the site, clicking on all of the links!?)
As to the suggestion to scan pages Alhazred's book: I'm afraid that Freddie & Walter won't lend it to me, since last time I accidently spilt pop on some of the pages. That and I'm not certain the scanner would survive the ordeal. Still, I'll see what I can do.
------------------

I purposely hid that way at the bottom, so no one would find it till it was better! It's only been up three days! I will be improving it slowly between classes and reading. Hopefully by Monday it will be in something approaching a final form. It should be better now though. As to when I actually start a comic? When I have a buffer as large as yours was. Which likely won't be soon. But I'm glad you think it has potential

What update schedule are you planning for? Daily, weekdays, MWF, Tuesday/Thursday, Weekly, Acid Reflux?
I think I found it the day that it was put up. I was looking around your website trying to find out a bit more about you (Hmm... She likes webcomics and math, like me. Nifty! Let's see what else I can find out...), was distracted by the little (formerly) lonely table and its little friend, and spotted the two links above. Hmm. I know Doonsbury, I've even read the first couple months in the archives. Mouse-hover over the bottom one and, hey!, the URL says it's by her! Better check it out.
And I did.
I must also thank you for giving me the time-wasting idea of fabricating pages from the Al Azif. Not being one to do things in halves, I've decided that rather than the John Dee translation, I'm going to write the Oleus Wormius version instead. In Latin.
It might not be so bad if I actually knew Latin. It gives me an excuse to learn, though. *takes his copy of "Latin Made Simple" from bookshelf behind him*
------------------

Sweet Cthulhu's microdragon! Someone visited my site! You can't know what an honor it is to get on that page without a linky button. But thank you for making one. It's up there now.
I found your strip from the crfh forum a couple weeks ago. After spending most of the day randomly surfing the keenspace list, it was an incredible relief to find a really good comic. I've been meaning to post something nice on your forum for awhile. You finally made me do it
And hey, if you get behind on strips, you can always scan in some pages from Alhazred's book! I'm sure no one would complain!

What is this, a mutual admiration society?
I'm trying for m-w-f but acid reflux is more likely. As is apparent by the fact that today's update isn't up yet.
And hey, wasting time is always good! Someone else who thinks they are going to teach themself Latin . . . hic fiat terrificus!
(I think that's right.)

I think it's Ille erit mirus (that will be wonderful) that you're looking for. Terrificus means terrifying.
Unless you think that the two of us taking a shot at teaching ourselves Latin is a horrifying prospect.
------------------

Well, in that case, you got it pretty much dead on, as far as I can tell. And who's to say that it can't be both

So you finally got around to reading some Lovecraft (And quoting it on the CRFH forum too!).
I personally haven't read as much Lovecraft & al as I probably should have, especially since I'm writing a webcomic attempting to parody them. I've read most of Lovecrafts more well known ones, as well as a few others from "Tales of the Cthulhu Mythos", as well as Brian Lumley's Titus Crow books. I've got a bunch of Lovecraft out of the library, but I've been finding it difficult to find time to read them *hides 900 page long Cryptonomicon that he just finished reading*.
I hoped you enjoyed reading them, all the same, even if you are likely to end up knowing more about Lovecraft's works that I do :P

>_< Actually, when I said "all the Lovecraft books my library has", it was exactly true, because they only had one. It seems to have most of his well-known stories though. I haven't finished it yet either, and so far the only name I've recognized is Nyarlathotep.
Oh, btw, senectus,-utis = old age; aged person.
Would that work?

I just found almost all of Lovecrafts works on a website: http://www.hplovecraft.com/writings/fiction/
I realize that reading on a computer screen is a huge pain, but if you can't get them any other way...

quote:
Oh, btw, senectus,-utis = old age; aged person.
Would that work?

Probably. Sounds like "The Dunwich Horror and Others".
It has all those as well as The Outsider, The Haunter of the Dark, The Music of Erich Zann, The Dunwich Horror (of course), The Whisperer in Darkness, In the Vault, The Rats in the Walls (which I now realize I haven't read yet), Cool Air, and The Terrible Old Man.
It's due back at the library on the 7th, and I suspect that somebody has placed it on hold at the Childrens' Library, so I won't get it back for a while either.
I wonder if any used bookshops around here have any Lovecraft?

I discovered The Best of H. P. Lovecraft, featuring The Color Out of Space, Call of Cthulhu, Shadow Out of Time, Pickman's Model, the Thing on the Doorstep, Shadow Over Innsmouth (my favorite), and many, many others.
How much was it?
Free.
------------------

Mine is "The Crawling Chaos" and it's surprisingly not overdue yet. It has all the aforementioned stories, but every time I settle down to read it, something mildly catastrophic happens. I think I'm going mad.
